I’ve never had any issues with this location as I’ve shopped here several times and it’s the closest Home Depot to my home. Unfortunately, tonight’s visit will be the last. I have a small leak in my guest bathroom tub faucet that I was trying to fix. It ended up being a very minor issue and was easily able to be fixed by your average lay-person. I spoke with an older gentlemen in the plumbing department (wearing a brown circle-rimmed hat) who immediately cut me off during my explanation and told me that “if you don’t know the make and model of the hardware, I can’t help.” Before I could even explain the issue, this was the response that I was given. I then tried to ask him what these parts were that I brought into the store (misc parts for a shower valve) that possibly needed to be replaced and he said “I have no idea what those are and I can’t help you.” Knowing that everyone has bad days, I then tried to calmly explain the entirety of the faucet leaking a very small stream and what could be the cause of it. He bluntly stated that I needed to “drain the entire house.” Then following his statement, he then just said, “you need to call a plumber because this isn’t for the faint of heart or the lay-person. You also need to just get new hardware because your house was built in the 90’s.”-I certainly had no issues with the hardware until today and it was likely that the leak was cause by me mis-assembling something or simply needing to replace a part. Again, I totally understand type-A personalities and that everyone has bad days at work but this dismissive and pompous behavior is just unacceptable. I won’t be coming back to Home Depot. There’s a Lowes right...
Read moreWe’ve been loyal Home Depot customers for over 20 years, regularly choosing your store for all our home improvement needs. Sadly, the last few visits have been extremely disappointing — enough that we feel it’s time to take our business elsewhere. Most recently, we purchased two pieces of shoe moulding for a kitchen project. To fit them into our car, we cut them into six smaller pieces. At checkout, the associate offered to tape them together, which we appreciated. However, after getting home, we realized one piece had been left behind at the store. When we returned to retrieve it, we were met with suspicion rather than assistance. Even after presenting the receipt, we were essentially accused of trying to take something we hadn’t paid for. The associate insisted all pieces had been taped, and only after we insisted on speaking with a manager were we finally told to just take the missing piece. My husband responded — and rightly so — that we weren’t taking anything, we had already paid for it. This is not the first time we’ve felt treated more like potential thieves than valued customers, even during large purchases. It’s an incredibly disheartening experience, especially after two decades of loyalty. We believe it's time to shop somewhere that respects and trusts its customers — likely Lowe’s. We hope Home Depot addresses how it trains staff to treat long-time, paying customers. No one should be made to...
Read morePurchased a washing machine from this location. In store experience was sub-par to say the least. What's more is that the Home Depot is selling product they do not currently have. Before leaving the store we had a scheduled delivery date of Saturday 6/27. Saturday nobody ever showed. My wife had to call customer service and wade through all of the nonsense just to get a person on the phone 2 hours later. Once she was able to speak to a representative they explained that the truck broke down. This was communicated to absolutely no one. I asked where we could pick the machine up since we currently do not have a working machine in the house. We were told this is not a possibility. Why? Maybe because the machines are not in stock at all, and the Home Depot can't even be honest enough with a consumer to tell them that. Our delivery was rescheduled for Tuesday 6/30. Monday evening we called to find out what the delivery window would be. Only to find out that in their system the order showed as cancelled. Why? Maybe because the product does not physically exist. This is fraud at a minimum now. I spent almost $1000.00 to get a working washing machine in my home for my family and this is the thanks i get. I have been a loyal and active Home Depot customer my entire life. I can't explain the frustration I am feeling over this. It is simply...
