ZERO STARS – DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE HERE!
I dropped my iPhone and cracked the screen. Since I didn’t have AppleCare, I brought it to CPR in Wentzville for what I thought would be a simple screen replacement. Big mistake.
After the first screen replacement, my phone started freezing constantly. I brought it back, and they replaced the screen a second time — this time, there was a neon green line running down the left side of the screen. The guy working on it (I hesitate to call him a “repair tech”) said, “Oh, I didn’t realize this screen was defective.” Seriously?
He told me he’d have to order a new one and that it wouldn’t arrive until Tuesday. Fine. He also said he’d call me when it came in — never happened. I had to call them just to get a follow-up.
I went in a third time to get the supposedly good screen installed. After that? My phone was even worse , freezing constantly, rebooting nonstop, totally unusable. My phone had zero problems before I cracked the screen. Now? Thanks to CPR, it’s borderline bricked.
This place is a joke. They clearly don’t know what they’re doing and have no business repairing phones. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration ; go literally...
Read moreDropped off iPad for screen replacement. The day I dropped it off they said they didn’t have the screen in even though the appt was made. 3 days later the screen came in. Dropped it off and they said it should be done Friday or Sat morning. Got a call Sat afternoon it was done. Picked it up and got home to find that there was adhesive or felt under the screen that could easily be seen if it was inspected after replacing the screen. It also now had a weird light affect going on that made the background appear like wet paper. I called them to return it and get it refixed. Dropped it off at noon on Monday and got it back around 2:30. The light affect was still screwed up. They said it was stagelight affect. Claimed it to be an aging thing even though it wasn’t there when I dropped it off and my iPads 7 months old. Said it was not covered and they wouldn’t fix it. You can see the issues in the picture around the boarder.
They were cheaper than others in Ofallon but now I wish I would have gone to a competitor. I will not be returning with any issues and would recommend you...
Read moreI brought my 2017 iPad Pro to CPR for repair, and the staff suggested upgrading to a “4 years newer” model they had for just $100 more. I trusted this advice and bought it, but after checking the model at home, I realized the device was only 1, maybe 2 years newer – not 4.
When I returned to address this, the manager (who also made the original claim) admitted his mistake but stood by the sale, insisting it’s still 2 years newer and refusing a full refund. He pointed to the shelf label, which listed it as a 2018 model, but I based my decision on his words, not a label I never saw. Despite acknowledging the error, he only offered a return with a $60 restocking fee, citing the “All Sales Final” policy.
Policies are important, but so is integrity. If you’re considering a purchase here, be ready for a potentially costly lesson in double-checking...
