Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Wentzville

The first time i went there the service and the food was AMAZING, I got the philly cheese steak and being from chicago they do a pretty good job its a little comparable to home. NOW THE 2ND TIME EATING HERE NOT SO GOOD. I called the order in which i probably SHOULD NOT HAVE, ordered the same thing Philly cheese steak extra grilled onions and mushrooms. He asked me did i want any thing else on it. I said NO JUST THE MEAT, MUSHROOMS AND GRILLED ONIONS. HE SAID DO YOU WANT ANY SAUCE I SAID NO. OK. GRANDPA WENT AND GOT MY FOOD. So he brings it back to the house and there is PIZZA SAUCE ON MY PHILLY CHEESE STEAK!!!! (DID I MENTION I WAS FROM CHICAGO?) SO IF ANYONE KNOWS CHICAGO PHILLY WOULD NEVER EVER EVER HAVE PIZZA SAUCE ON IT. OMG YUCK!!! Immediately within 10 seconds of seeing my poor sandwhich smothered in pizza sauce AND MAYO BTW, I WAS HOTT!! So i very nicely called up there first explained to an employee the situation, she said oh ok we can remake that for you or just refund it. I said my grandfather or I are not going back out so she says okay im going to let you speak with my manager. ( which I had no idea why she had me speaking with the manager when she could have just explain the situation to him instead of me having to repeat myself a second time) BUT Andy and I spoke with Leo the manager and he was very nice and he put my name in the books for a sandwich for when I came in the next time very very nice guy. So I went in today and the girl was pretty snotty to me I'm not going to mention any names but you know hey I guess people don't get that people make mistakes and mess they did they do mess people's food up. Because I do believe she was actually a manager there and I even brought my receding and all that and she still insisted she needed to look at the books to make sure that it was on there by another manager so long story longer LOL they've got pretty decent Philly cheesesteaks and I will definitely come here again (because the manager Leo made sure i ended up being a happy customer)but man the first-time service was great second and third time, WOW it just made this place look HORRIBLE. Very unprofessional management. The person I was with order a wrap which was stated to the person taking the order and to myself while we were ordering. When this was brought up the worker went to tell management who you could hear scream throughout the restaurant about it. The worker returned saying it would need to be bought and the person I was with just gave them the sandwhich back and that we won't be back. The worker then said I am just trying to help. The manager then came over scolding the person I was. She said it would be like $2 to pay the difference between a wrap and a sandwich, so she went to pay it in which the manager wanted to charge her saying it would be almost $5. She brought up the difference and the manager told her she took 50% off the difference between the 2 a s a wrap is $8 and a sandwich is $5 something. Not sure if math is hard for the manager to understand, but she just took half off the wrap not the difference. The whole time the manager was very rude talking down to customer and staff. Great grilled subs good quality good prices nice friendly staff best fast food in town I highly recommend! The staff was really friendly here. They talk to me like we’ve known each other for years. They explain to me about the potatoes and how many they go through each day because they actually use a machine that they put raw potatoes in and cut the potatoes right there to make their fries and believe me they are amazing. He had me try them with their malted vinegar which I probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise, but I take a chance and I’m glad that I did. It was a really good it was a friendly environment.
