I am usually a fan of Sauce on the Side, the food is good but after learning of the practices of the Wentzville location and the behaviors of some of the employees are ignored while others are let go just because of an accusation of one of the worst behaving employees has made me take my business elsewhere. It is bad enough that the underage employees at the counter should not be selling alcohol, but they are I am sure the management does not care since they are well aware that a young woman, named Ella who works there has been supplying the other underage employees with alcohol, even using the purchase of alcohol as a bribe to get them to trade shifts with her. Management was aware that at a Christmas party they hosted that this young woman, Ella was providing drinks to the underage employees who attended the party and all Management did was to tell the kids who were drinking to Be Careful. Not only is this a place that I can no longer support or frequent I also would hope that parents out here will think twice about letting their children take a job there. This young woman is setting a very poor example for her peers and Management is seriously lacking in managerial skills if they would turn a blind eye and allow such things to go on in their establishment! The employee, Ella should have been terminated for even suggesting she would do something illegal and Management ignoring these practices should be terminated for not doing their job! Our children and Grandchildren go to these places for their first job, a first life experience to prepare them for adulthood and this certainly is NOT the kind of life experiences they should be getting at work! Read moreI decided to try Sauce on the Side in Wentzville on Wednesday 12/11. Was hoping to really enjoy based on previous reviews, but the whole experience left we with a bad impression. I ordered online and it gave me a time of 6:15 PM for order completion. When I arrived it was 6:05 PM, so I knew that the order might not be ready. Went up to the cashier and asked about it. She had me sign the credit receipt and then she asked someone in the cooking area who seemed to be irritated based on his mannerisms. I was told it wasn't ready, so I sat down at the bar area that didn't seem to really be tended to by anyone. The bar is in clear view of the cashiers and the one that checked me out saw me there. My scheduled order time came and went, around 6:20 PM I approached the other cashier as the one I checked out with was busy checking someone else out. This cashier asked someone else in the cooking area, who proceeded to pull my order off the top of the oven. It had been just sitting there, for who knows how long! I took my order and went home very displeased. I opened up the box and there was a hole in the top of the calzone, so I checked the temperature with my finger... it was cold! That right there just made me sure it had been sitting there for a significant amount of time. Reheated it and proceeded to be prepared for it to still taste amazing, however, it was not. This being my first time having SOTS I wasn't sure what to order and tried the Fatty B with mushrooms added as that seemed a popular one when reading other reviews. It was underwhelming to say the least. Not impressed with my first...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible experience with manager Courtney Bodicky!
As a long time customer, I was thrilled to learn that Wentzville was getting a Sauce on the Side location. Ordered calzones to-go tonight, only realizing after getting home that 1 of them was make incorrectly and given the wrong sauce. Called up to store and was told that they would remake the order and I could come pick it up. Drove back up to the restaurant only to meet with the manager - Courtney Bodicky - who refused to provide me a remade calzone because I had not brought the wrong one with me. I pointed out that I had not been told to bring it with me when I called, to which she replied that might be true, but she still wouldn't remake it unless I brought in the one that was made wrong. I pointed out that no one was going to eat the wrongly made calzone - no one in my house likes fig - and that to drive home and back would be another 20 minutes. Her response was to shrug her shoulders and say "the only thing I will do is give you the garlic butter sauce you supposedly didn't receive." So while I have nothing but compliments for the Clayton and Clarkson locations, I would strongly advise against frequenting the Wentzville location so long as Courtney Bodicky is the manager. She took what could have been an easily fixable error and instead lost a customer forever. Just absolute horrible customer service....
