Marshalls — Local services in West Bend

I would give no stars if that were an option. I don’t know what I was thinking going to a small cracker town Marshall’s but they did not disappoint as far as my expectation for discrimination goes. From the moment I walked in, all eyes were on me. I picked up a few items from the clearance section of the beauty aisle and continued looking around the store. It was obvious I was being watched but that unfortunately isn’t unusual. When I went to checkout I was ‘greeted’ by an old white lady with an attitude. She began ringing me up while shaking her head, as I went to pay she pulls the items back out of the bag and says they aren’t the correct price. I’m not sure what she was accusing me of but I stated I grabbed them from the clearance aisle so I’m not sure what price they should be. She said she’d be right back and then never returned. I waited for about 5 minutes as I could see her calling her coworkers over to whisper about whatever. I was willing to still buy the items at whatever price she claimed they were suppose to be. But after waiting as long as I did and at this point holding up the line, I decided to just leave. I know when I’m being discriminated against and I really don’t have to put up with it nor do I need the jacked up, dipped in products Marshall’s tends to...

I just found out I was having a baby boy so me and my boyfriend decided we wanted to go to Marshalls! We went in and checked out the shoes and headed to the baby section. As we were watching we noticed all the employees were kind of following us but we were like… okay… then as we turned the corner we heard the girl say “they’re coming towards men clothing” she noticed we heard her and looked startled…… i’m just confused as to why no one asked if we needed help or said hello but wanted to keep tabs on us? I know Marshalls has great deals on baby Nike clothes and I just wanted to get my little boy some clothes. What did we do to give them impression we needed to be followed? We’re normal people who wanted to shop new...

I will say that since COVID this store has gone through some changes that don’t benefit them. They took away half of not more of their inventory. They have much less staff and takes much longer to wait and check out. One of the many things I use to love about this store was their variety of unique and awesome products at a discounted price. However now they’ve taken away so many of the products that there aren’t as many choices or as good as a selection that there use to be. Sadly I don’t know if this Store can handle the changes because I fear that it will deeply effect their sales. But it won’t stop me from shopping here. I’m hoping that things will improve...
