First let me say I work for UCM and went here to see Dr Jamen (who we love) for the first 15 months of my son's life. My insurance switched at work, but I got the ppo because it had out of network benefits. I told my provider what happened and said I would be scheduling there anyway because I would rather pay the out of network fees than lose my son's Pediatrician. Scheduled his 15th month appt. Gave them my new insurance. They knew and understood it was out of network. I got a text reminder this week for my appointment and confirmed we would attend. Took work off today rearranged my sons daycare schedule and showed up today 15 min early as requested... only to be told "I don't see your name on schedule. Oh nevermind your appointment was cancelled." I asked by whom and they replied "we cancelled it because you have out of network insurance". really!?!? I explained I KNOW THAT and it was discussed when I booked my appointment 4 weeks ago! She said, "sorry" we no longer have an appointment available. The end. Trash. Healthcare and insurance in America is trash. But this clinic is heartless and stupid. Read moreDr Mitchell is good but he/his office office billed me with incorrect codes which caused a nightmare to get resolved with my insurance, and still never got resolved, literally spent hours on 10 separate phone calls, and the fact that this is a hospital makes it hard to actually speak to someone who can do anything, my insurance could never get a hold of the office, In the end this office charged me $700 for something that is covered with my routine annual physical because they billed it with the wrong codes. It should’ve only cost me $30 like it did last year. And this place is useless when trying to resolve. I won’t be coming back, not worth the headache, and I can’t afford the bill. Read moreDespite leaving with some not so pleasant news, this was easily the best medical appointment I have had to date. First, the facility was so clean. The receptionists were nice and welcoming. Wait room is large.
Dr. Sandiford is an angel. The way she explained things to me plainly and frankly was much appreciated. She also had a great sense of humor. Shoutout also to Ruby who was quick and efficient with taking some preliminary info from me and also drawing blood.
