This coffee shop is undeniably cute, with a whimsical interior that immediately draws you in. The vibe is lively and energetic, perfect for a casual date or a catch-up with friends. I noticed a stage area, and sure enough, the music started blasting soon after I arrived. It's definitely a place for social interaction, not focused work ā I had intended to get some work done, but the volume quickly sent me searching for a quieter spot. I didn't even bother sitting down.
Their drink menu is a playground of unique and specialty concoctions, and I opted for the black sesame latte. It was delicious, but even after requesting less sweetness, it was still quite sweet for my taste. At $12, it felt a bit steep, especially given the sweetness level. The price point is definitely geared towards those seeking a special treat.
However, the lack of any food items at 10:30 AM on a Sunday was a major disappointment. I was ready to settle in with my latte and a pastry, but there was nothing available. This, combined with the loud, social atmosphere, makes it clear that this coffee shop excels as a cute date spot or a place to enjoy a unique drink and conversation, but it falls short for anything else. If you're looking for a productive work environment or a reliable place for a morning bite, you'll likely need to look elsewhere. It's all about the ambiance and the specialty...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited for the first time this weekend. They strangely donāt open until 10am one day a week and that happens to be Saturday. When I arrived at 9:56 there were customers in the store so we entered and then a woman came from out of nowhere and kicked us all out, locked the doors and said to wait until 10. Okay fine, weāll wait, none of the customers knew they had odd Saturday hours but it was just 4 minutes until the open time, we were already inside and it was blazingly hot and humid outside. It wouldāve been nice if they let us just stand to the back inside. Instead they didnāt even unlock the doors again until 10:05 while a crowd formed around the shop with confused customers. I want to attribute this poor experience to the woman who was leading here and give this shop another shot but it really left a bad taste in my mouth. The coffee was just okay and the music in the shop is incredibly loud. There is plenty of space to gather but you have to yell to have a conversation. Iād imagine it would be hard to do any sort of work that required focus here as well. I saw someone call this an Urban Outfitters themed coffee shop and itās a very accurate descriptor. Bummed because I had really high hopes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI drove to drip collective today, I live an hour away with traffic. I came for the mango sticky rice matcha. Once I walked in immediately I was greeted by a lighter skin male with a curly Afro, I was told they cannot make the last 3 of the specialty drinks. (The drink I came for included). I was told āwe are short on bodies (staff), you came 45 minutes before close, and we donāt have the ingredients to make the drinkā He even felt so bad that he gave me an industry discount on my ube matcha.
I sat at the counter and drank my beverage, and right behind me 3 staff members were sitting in the middle of the lounge. (I pieced it together because they were going behind the counter like employees, and then going back out) So I shrug and say whatever, itās fine. But then, 3 white people came in maybe 15 minutes after me, ordered 2 of the mango sticky rice matcha. I went up and asked the group if thatās what it was to be sureā¦.. indeed it was.
So I told a different employee and they made me the drink free.
Iām not sure if this was racial, laziness, or just poor customer service. But I will never go back. And wonāt recommend it. Iām going to let everyone know how they...
