while it's been great to have a public pool so close to home, the Parks District has made it so difficult to maintain reasonable hours. it closes early on weekends (???) and due to their inability to hire enough lifeguards, they kick people out for long intervals while the few lifeguards they do have need to take a break with no one else to fill in.
it's also not available to the public until late June and closes for the year in early August, which seems insane for a place like Chicago which is usually scorching hot from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
kind of a shame that it's such a nice spot, but the Parks District continues to fumble with it every...

I think a lot of debris flies in from the baseball field more sure what they could do to improve that. Shaded areas are needed.
