Kung Fu Pizza Bar is a must-taste! Don't let the walk-up window fool you—it's a busy spot, and I'm so glad I decided to read the reviews to help me find the place. This is a one-man show, and the owner is incredible. The pizza is delicious... it's so popular they even run out, especially the deep dish! I love the cool action figures and collectibles on display in the window, but the best part has to be the fortune cookie for me. Highly recommend this hidden gem with affordable slices and a no-nonsense vibe.

5$ for 2 slices and a 12oz soda. Unbeatable deal in Chicago. Is it the best quality pizza in Chicago? No. But that's not important when you're paying 2.50 a slice. It's a good quality slice for a hilariously cheap price. How does this place exist? One guy owns and operates the place, you can only order through a tiny little window, no inside. Stand on the corner and enjoy life. Go here. Come back. Support this guy!

Can’t beat the price and ease of walk-up service. Hilarious that you get fortune cookies. Pizza is interesting. It’s greasy. Oddly, it meets my number one rule: it must hold the fold. The sauce is different. It’s lacking in an undercarriage - I expect a crispier bottom with some char. The crust is really small. Source: pizza snob from NYC

tl;dr -- On a late night in the city, I was very hungry and craving pizza, and in a moment of serendipity, this place was right in front of me. Phenomenal at a great price.

I left the small theater just up the road after a comedy show. I said "I could really go for a slice of pizza," and got on my phone to google pizza places. It turns out I was standing right in front of this place as I was at the fountain right there in front of the Blue Line stop. On first glance, this place made me think "this can't be the place," but then you see "SLICES" in the window.

I had two slices of pepperoni and a soda for $6. For that price, I thought it may not be that good, but enough to sooth an empty stomach. Turns out this pizza was remarkable. It was pretty fresh, the cheese was still stretchy even after a quick warmup in the oven.

I live in Oak Lawn just off the southwest side of the city, so we have a lot of great pub pizza places nearby, but no NY slice places. For a slice like this, you might expect to pay $7 or $8 for half as much food that is half the quality, and you might have to make a special...

I feel truly blessed to have this place in my neighborhood. Flanked by fast food and overpriced mediocre restaurants ($22 burrito… really La Pasadita!?) this spot earned a huge place in my heart with their $5 deal. I was expecting Little Caesar’s-esque quality but got some shockingly delicious slices.

Then I read on his menu that he’s constantly experimenting with ingredients to create the best possible pizza and specifically buys the throwback Pepsi cans because he likes them. It’s those kinds of things that I really appreciate as a consumer and food lover.

I think it’s safe to say I’ll be...

I LOVE this pizza. First, you cannot beat the price - I love that he offers a cheap price for the pizza. It’s kinda nostalgic that you can walk up to a window and order two slices for $5. The pizza is good too! I love NY pizza, love when the crust is more doughy than crispy and dry, and I love that the sauce has no sweetness to it. It’s a true NY style pizza. The owner is hustling and tries to serve everyone quickly with great pizza. He’s a great guy who is just trying to spread joy through pizza and he achieved it with me. I hope everyone supports him. It’s a small open window to order so...
