me and my friends were meeting each other after not seeing each other for months and we were taking a few pictures and the security guard kept coming up to us in our business and telling us to go places and then he told us to go to our movie theater so we go to our movie theater and we decided that we’re thirsty. This is about 30 minutes later. Anyways, we decided that we were thirsty so we go and Try to get a drink and keep in mind my sister’s phone is almost dead. She’s on 2% so she asked one of the employees to use one of their chargers and she’s Plugging in her charger next to where we’re gonna order so we can be in and out and the security guard comes all the way from where the blue part of the building is all the way to the cash register where we’re ordering to tell us to go sit at the bench and that we can’t be on our phones While we Ordering and we also need our cash app money so we’re waiting and charging our phone so we can get the cash app money and we will be in and out but no he wants us to sit all the way at the bench and also nobody else was out. It was just me and my friends in the cash was there so we weren’t causing any harm at all. after we get our drinks we go back to our movie and when our movie is done we’re sitting on the bench and he comes up and ask me and my friend “where are you guys supposed to be, what movie” and we tell him that the movie is done and then he says “ r u waiting on someone” i say “yeah” then he says “oh who are you waiting on “like that’s his business. we have done literally nothing we caused no harm to anyone and we’re just sitting on the bench and he’s asking for our information like you can’t do anything with this guy around. and then this guy opens the door from my sister ( cause she’s outside and there’s a lot of people out there and it’s loud and crowded) and he doesn’t know that it’s the back door so when he opens the back door for my sister to come in the security guards like “oh you can’t open the door that’s the back door I’m gonna have to ask you ALL to leave” we all have to leave because one kid made a mistake trying to be nice.. this security was in our business all night we couldn’t do anything without him, staring at us and coming up to us, asking us for our information or what we’re doing and kicking us out like this guy made our experience like a two out of 10 and it’s our first time seeing each other in months he honestly ruined it for us! everything else was fine but if that guy is around, I will never ever come back and I will post this on social media letting everybody know how bad of a movie Theater This is because of this guy..we paid for our ticket. We paid for a movie theater we can’t even enjoy it with him around, he honestly needs to either be fired or taught a lesson. we are teenagers he’s about 40 or something we can’t even be on our phones and wait for a cash app without being told to wait on the other side of the building while we’re trying to order drinks. like are...
Read moreUpdate the Management is the worse! AMC customer service they gave me to call does nothing to really help. Another bad experience. Superfly Movie did not start as it should the lights just came on!
When they attempted to start the movie you could only hear it but know picture. When they finally did get the movie started the movie picture was going off the screen on to the curtain. When they finally fixed it it was like watching on TV in that the picture was like five feet cut off on the sides of the screen and about 5 feet cut off on the top to bottom of the screen. When they had near the end of the movie subtitles in English for the Spanish part the second line of the text on the screen was cut off and you could not read it.
After the movie I went and complained about all of this especially the text being cut off on the screen and thought they would give me a re entry ticket to see the movie again when it was fixed. The movie staff became really nasty to me and refused to give me a ticket to come back and see it properly when fixed. I go to this AMC theater like 3 or 4 times a week and they are aware it. When I tried to reason with them they told me to leave or they would call the Police. One person with a big tattoo going up his whole arm said leave you are embarrassing yourself. They need to fire all these nasty people. Read my previous reviews below that show this same bad pattern by people who work there.
Other recent bad experience happened on May 3rd when I went to see at 7:00 PM the movie Bad Samaritan.
The Movie did not start nearly on time In fact it took them until 7:48 PM to just start the Coming Attractions even though every 15 minutes I asked them when they would start the movie. The movie did not actually start until an hour after it was suppose to start which was now at 8:00 PM! I was the only one in the movie I was seeing! This is because how badly people feel they are treated when they go here
After the Movie was over I asked them nicely for a pass to come back to see another Movie to make this all up to me.
Instead of giving me an immediate good will pass they said I had to call AMC Corporate because it was not their fault they could not start the movie nearly on time because Corporate gave them the wrong code to start the Movie. That may be true but do I really need to go to all this trouble and add insult to injury? Why couldn't they just give me a pass instead of making me go through more delays in getting my money back or pass which could take weeks to get because it has to go through Corporate and then mailed out to me. The AMC Manager and her Assistant handled this very badly and started to get very conversational. They did not care or heard about customer good will and treated me very badly. It was empty in the theater at this time of night so they felt they could abuse me and no one would be aware of it I go to the movies like 5 days a week and go to this location at least 3...
Read moreI went here to see the new SAW X movie that I have been dying to watch since last year when I heard it was in production. I'm a huge fan of the series. The movie wasn't the issue. The issue was the theater and the staff. The show time was supposed to be at 8pm. I arrived there at 7:40pm. The movie didn't start until 8:40pm. An hour of commercials and maybe 4 movie trailers were shown in that time. (hAvE YoU bEeN tHinKiNg AbOuT OrThOpEdIcS)
The sound quality was really bad. The commercials and other ads were louder than the actual movie was. The marvel movie trailer was way louder than the movie I paid to go see was. Now, this is an issue for several reasons. first and foremost, for me, it ruins the immersion and the whole experience. Which is what I go to a theater for.
The rest of the time, the people in the theater that were there to watch the movie as well also watered down the whole experience because they couldn't just stay quiet. They had to talk and laugh at the most inappropriate times for the full duration of the entire movie. I guess it wouldn't have been to much(?) of an issue had the volume of the movie been turned up. But it wasn't. the volume was turned down after the advertisements played. you could hear a pin drop on the floor over the movie.
To make things worse, near the end of the movie, one of the staff members turned all the lights in the theater room on, BEFORE the movie was even over. I couldn't even see the ending of the SAW movie because the entire screen was whitewashed with the overhead lighting in the room and made everything on the screen not visible. To rub it in everyone's face, the staff member that turned the lights on decided to turn the lights back off again for the credits after ruining the ending of the movie.
This is probably the worst movie experience I have ever had going to a theater to go see a movie I've been dying to see for a year now.
I would really have loved to have given a 5 star rating but I just can't justify it with the experience I had while there. Especially since I'm a shareholder of stock for AMC. It might be time to sell those shares though if this is how they run...
