DO NOT GO HERE. Avoid Quest Diagnostics, particularly this location, at all costs. If possible to give 0 stars, I would.
I had an appointment for 9 AM. I got to Quest at 8:55 AM and checked in through my phone, after being sent a link from Quest to check in. I received a screen of "Thank you, you are checked in." However, I noticed my name didn't appear on the list of many people on the screen in the waiting room, showing the order of who was next. I figured it would show up at 9 AM. It did not, and there was no one to speak to. I decided to check in again at the in-person kiosk in the waiting room. My name appeared and the screen told me it would be 30 minutes. After 15 minutes my name suddenly disappeared off the screen. When a nurse finally came out I mentioned this. After much back and forth she said my name wasn't on the list of appointments, and I didn't have one. I showed her the text message I'd received as well as confirmation email with QR code for my appointment. About 15 minutes later she brought me back, still insisting I didn't have an appointment. She showed me her desktop screen which showed I checked in at 9:02 AM, and she said that b/c I was 2 minutes late to my appointment, I was now a walk-in appointment, and had given up my appointment. She would not listen when I told her I'd already checked in first at 8:55 via my phone. (Also, in what world would people who arrive TWO minutes late lose their appointment?) Finally, I was able to have my blood draw only for her to tell me that Quest no longer sends bloodwork results STAT, which is what my doctor needed and requested. So the entire point of going to Quest for a quick appointment with immediate results was out the window, I should have gone to my doctor.
Please save yourself the time and frustration and avoid this location, as well as Quest all-together. If they allow one location to operate like this, that means they allow multiple locations to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOnline scheduling and check-in were fast and efficient. I was in and out in 10 mins. Phlebotomist professional and kind.
Make sure you get the diagnosis code and procedure code from your doctor before any test, other than routine tests you had already done and understand your financial responsibility for same. Check the codes with your insurance company before any test. Even the best insurance will not cover cancer marker tests without cancer diagnosis.
Quest can hit you with an unreasonable surprise bill even in network and they will absolutely not negotiate or extend the same low rate that they do when covered by insurance, nor provide any customer service (the only thing they will do on the phone is yell loudly and at length, I wish I was joking). If they tell you they will call you back, they will not.
Be very careful with payment plans with Quest: they stopped autobilling me early and didn't tell me for over a year that I still owed anything. I learned about this from a collections notice! When I called Quest, they just yelled as usual and refused to provide any useful information or help whatsoever. They said I must have closed my bank account (I didn't!). At least the collection agency offered a discount and, as provided by law, did not report my debt to a credit reporting agency. It was a major headache and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust had my blood test done, and normally I go with one specific woman, who is very sweet and gentle. Today I had another woman named Reina, who was apathetic and awful. I was trying to make conversation and she took everything too seriously. And I asked her some questions about the tests, and she just shrugged her shoulders saying āI donāt knowā. Couldnāt answer any questions because she didnāt want to. I understand having to tell me that there are certain tests that are not covered by my insurance, but then she kept humming to herself as if thereās not a care in the world. In fact, she gave me the wrong information about my coverage. And she was insistent about it. Also, she was Very insensitive. Iām 66. You would think that she would have been gentle, but she jabbed the needle in my arm and it excruciatingly painful. Iāve NEVER cried during blood tests ,and yet, she caused a lot of pain, and i still canāt stop crying from the pain iām in and Iām also very nauseous. She has no clue as to how to be gentle with people. She always has a resting b face. And that humming was so incessant and rude. If I ever go back, Iāll go to the other lady who is very nice. But I doubt Iāll go back at this point, despite the fact that itās so convenient for me bc itās...
