Can’t help but express my disappointment this evening. I always like to grab the chef salad in the salad bar section and for the most part it has always been somewhat fresh. Tolerably fresh. However, at 3:30 pm today went to grab the last two chef salad (I think they only make two of each salads daily) along with two other items. Went home to enjoy the salads and to my unfortunate discovery, approximately 70% of the romaine lettuce was wilted and brown. From my understanding fresh, greens wouldn’t wilt and start turning brown from 9am to 3:30 pm when prepared the same day. I called to inform the person at the other end of the phone (Paul) about the situation and his demeanor was very off-putting. I was taken by surprise because I was never upset in my delivery or tone. I spoke to him in a calm & friendly tone because I have spoken to him before and he was quite helpful. He snapped at me when I asked for the salads to be remade instead of getting a refund since I’ve always supported and love supporting Bedners. He verbatim said “ No we don’t do that! Come get your refund or exchange it for something else!” The nasty tone as shocking. I told him I can show him pictures of the salads as proof and he was just irate and eager to get me off the phone. I asked him for his role there at Bedners and he said he’s the floating supervisor. If this is how a supervisor acts, then the friendly cashiers should be the ones in charge. I’m very disappointed and honestly may take the extra drive to Joseph’s or wholefoods. What an awful...
Read moreThey say "Good things come to those who wait". Well after 5 years of happily driving the 30 min to Delray for Bedners Local Farm Fresh Non GMO veggies & good wine at cheap prices, Bedners has come to me! Plus it has (singing) Seafood! Bedners has been doing CoVid right from Day one & Now they have a store built for space. You can only enter the store with a mask & disposable gloves provided by the staff. (If like me, you want to cut down on waste, bring your own dish gloves just like you bring your own mask. These are The New Times) If you have a medical condition, better bring a face shield or send a friend on your behalf, bc this delightful staff is wonderful at kindly enforcing safety protocols. Even Publix won't enforce masks. So if you want to go to a place with great people, support a local business, get the freshest produce (green bean so fresh, you can eat them raw) and be purely blown away by so much variety in one spot, must add Bedners, any location to...
Read moreWe recently made a quick trip to Bedner's Farm Fresh Market just before closing to grab some fresh veggies for dinner. In the hustle and bustle of getting out the door, our 5-year-old accidentally left his absolute favorite Hot Wheels car in the shopping cart.
We realized it once we got home and, as you can imagine, there were some serious waterworks from our little guy. We called Bedner's in a bit of a panic, and they were so incredibly kind and helpful! They immediately went to search the carts and to our immense relief, they found his car!
We were so grateful for their willingness to go above and beyond, especially so close to closing time. They truly saved the day and rescued a little boy from a meltdown of epic proportions. Thank you, Bedner's, for your kindness and for understanding the importance of a favorite toy to a 5-year-old!
We'll definitely be back (and we'll be keeping a closer eye on those Hot Wheels...
