I have been waiting to go to HIVE bakery ever since I saw the pastries at a party. They were spectacular and the presentation even better. I had a special occasion to take a guest from Washington, DC. I told her about HIVE and decided we would walked through the stores and then eat at the cafe. As we sat down the server greeted us, but abruptly, we had not even sat down or gotten a menu. She interrupted our conversation as we sat to ask wanted to drink. Lacking finesse. We asked for sparkling water, then ordered from the menu. I ordered a simple Greek salad with grilled chicken. She returned to say that they did not have chicken?? Okay, I will have grilled shrimp. My friend ordered the avocado salad. My salad came out a big mess with crumbs all over the top and what looked like Old Bay Spice loaded on the whole salad. As I started eat the salad I realized the whole salad was floating in dressing and pickled onions. Yuck and yuck. She came around to see if we needed anything else and I let her know it was not going to work out to eat that salad. I took the shrimp off to the side and asked to replace it with a Caesar salad, yuck but I would try another salad. The Caesar salad came out loaded with crumbs and Old Bay and over dressed. I left it aside and felt embarrassed to let her know I was not going to eat it. I told her I am happy to pay for everything as maybe that is the way they make their food. My side note is, who ever was in the kitchen make the food with every spice they have and likes their salads swimming in dressing. I may give it another try, but two simple salads seemed to have the same theme. Loaded with every spice in the kitchen and heavy...

we discovered this place last week and since we were very pleased with the staff, we wanted to come again, this time when I observed more carefully, I saw very unhygienic situations, the coffee thermos they brought and left on the table had probably not been washed for weeks, it had berry stains on it and was full of fingerprints from sweaty hands, I felt nauseous, I couldn't touch it, I asked for a napkin, so I was able to touch the thermos. later on, they didn't serve on a tray, the waiter even brought a small spoon and put it on the table and there were sweaty hand marks on every item he left on the table, I really didn't understand why they didn't use trays in such a nice place, if you're not looking for hygiene, go, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food tastes good but there is a serious problem with cleanliness and hygiene! I felt like I was in a place...

I love shopping here! There is always something new and the furniture arrangements are outstanding. The staff is always so helpful, friendly and accommodating. I love buying hostess gifts here, birthday presents as well as an occasional large item, the store also carries Simon Pearce and other fabulous dinnerware such as Herend . The store is loaded with unique items as well as a floral department that puts together beautiful arrangements. Now that they have opened ( a few years ago ) an outdoor shop as well as children’s shop and clothing shop, it really is a great shopping experience and destination. Parking is easy… there are quite a few spaces in their private lot as well as on the street. There is also valet parking...
