I went to this location tonight. I saw a dog in a car without it running and as it is 20 degrees out, and dangerous for the dog to be left alone in the car, I went to ask them to page the owner to return to the car. The manager with long brown hair came and seemed dismissive but assured me that she would make the announcement as soon as she went to the back. I stood and waited for the announcement to make sure that it went off because I had a bad feeling. I didn't realize how correct my bad feeling was until 10 minutes past and no announcement was made. I continued to check outside to see if the car was still parked there and no announcement had been made. I explained to her how dangerous it is to leave a dog that is not used to cold weather such as a very furry winter dog in a car with the windows rolled up with 20° weather. Clearly she did not care as I turned my head 10 minutes later and saw her slowly walking to fold shirts. She made eye contact with me and very quickly looked away. Clearly she had no intention of making that announcement. I have zero tolerance for people who abuse animals, but I also have zero tolerance for associates, ESPECIALLY managers of stores who when animal abuse is brought to their attention on their property actively do nothing. I'm horrified by how disgusting this manager is and how disgusting her actions are or rather her lack there of. I didn't realize that Kohl's employed managers that hate dogs and wish that they would freeze in the cold. My lesson has been learned and moving forward I will simply call the police as the police are far more likely to do anything than this nasty dog hating animal abuse loving woman would be. I fully intend to contact corporate about this as I do not believe they should employ somebody who actively does not care when dangerous situations are brought to their attention. I'm scared to know what this human being would do if somebody mentioned that a baby was left in a car alone. Tldr: Manager ignores dog in car during dangerous temps. Edit: Very telling that the owner will respond to other reviews but not this one. I question how highly safety is valued at...
Read moreWhen we moved from Mass to ME for one year all I was trying to do is change my address on my Kohl's card. I went to three different Kohl's in Mass and two in Maine. No luck. All I was told to pick up the phone. It got to the point that I wanted to rip the phone off the wall and throw in the next person that told me to pick up the phone. Kohl's is a terrible company to deal with. This one day I was in Westbrook ,Maine so I decided to stop at kohl's . Bought I shirt went thru register pay for it and ask the cashier why is it so hard for me to change address on my card. You guessed it . Go to customer service and she will help you. I did and you guessed it again. Pick up the phone. I did not I left. On the way out I stopped and told the cashier that I am back to square one. She hugged me and said that she will help me. She started but had some problem so she call a young man to help her. Well, well guess what. They changed my address to my Maine address The cashier name is Kecia and the young man name is Jordan. Thank you both soooooo much. Yes I called the manager Kayla and praise the two wonderful people that help me. Westbrook Kohl's is very lucky to have two wonderful people working there. The desert not only praised but a big fat raise . Come on kohl's you need people like Kecia and Jordan. Take care of them and all who are dedicated. Thank you again...
Read moreI normally wouldn’t even mention anything so slight but when there’s three cash registers, and and no one was in line and the first thing that the cashier asked me were you waiting in line? So even though there’s no blocked off area on the registers and there was nobody waiting to be Served she continue to give me her chastisement about well she just has to verify to make sure that I was not cutting in front of anybody. I let her know that I also work retail and I’m very courteous and I always look at those areas and her comment was as I was going to grab the box and cancel my sale she grabbed the box back from me and said well OK I’ll let you go through this time but make sure next time that you check? Who says that in this day and age for customer service? She is not there working to do me a favor?Really kohls management I think you really need to have a customer service training or not to chastise your customers
If I wasn’t in such a rush to get a pair of shoes I would’ve just walked away from the register so Kohl’s thanks for putting a very bad taste in my mouth today.
I think it’s time to give a training lesson on servant leader ship
I still continue to be polite but I did let her know that she really needs to change her approach with customers and not to chastise people like they are a little kid...
