First off, I want to say I noticed one woman is running this entire office. That is not her fault. As a person who works in healthcare, I personally understood her frustration right away. When you’re trained to do patient care, it’s very annoying when you have to work front desk, checking in and verifying insurances -ON TOP of your main duties. I know from personal experience, it’s tough to do both! I wish I got her name but I was so out-of-it because I was so hungry from fasting.
IMAGINE multiple people walking in without appointments and expecting to be seen right away? And being frustrated with her because they have to wait? Oh, give me a break! She’s human! Imagine how frustrated SHE must feel! She has to open up shop, turn everything on, set up all the rooms, all in time for 7am when people are already lined up at the door (and they are very HANGRY, impatient and straight up grumpy because they fasted) some with appointments, some without.
I made an appt for 7am and checked in on my phone. I was called over maybe 5-10 minutes later. She asked me necessary questions and verified my insurance. She was the sweetest person when she came in the room to draw my blood. You could tell she was a different person when she was actually doing the job she went to school for. She was so kind and damn good at her job. Respect. We shared a few laughs at 7am. I can’t say that in other offices! I was in/out very quick and it...
Read moreI wanted to spend time and actually write a positive review. I think in general a lot of positive experiences do not get reported while most of the negative ones are. I almost skipped this location because of all the negative reviews and I am glad I did not. I brought my mom for the bloodwork today and had a wonderful experience.
I did research beforehand and knew that they do the tests my mom needed. I made an appointment online a week prior. We arrived on time for the appointment.
As a result: We did not wait for more than 5 mins. A person working at the lab was very professional and courteous. She quickly took our paperwork and sent us to the procedure room where we waited for another 2 minutes before she was ready to draw blood. She was skillful, found the vein right away and quickly collected the blood sample. My mom has bad veins which almost always is a cause for a missed vein, but it was not the case at this facility. In-out and done. My mom was asked if she was feeling OK after.
To summarize: Very pleasant overall...
Read moreI made an appointment for today (Saturday) at this location through the Quest Diagnostics online appointment scheduler. The appointment was confirmed via email. The morning of my appointment, I got in the car and Google alerted me Quest Westfield is closed on Saturdays. I tried calling to confirm it was open, but this location's automated voice system doesn't have the capability to connect you with a live person. I decided to go to the location anyway, and it turns out they were open despite the hours listed on Google. The one phlebotomist was also confused by the hours, because she mentioned she didn't know she was supposed to come to her shift today and was the only one staffed. She was nice, but because of the scheduling, she was rushed/overwhelmed.
I was in and out of this Quest Westfield in 15 minutes, and had a decent experience once I was actually...
