Today I called the court administrators office to see if I could postpone a court date because my father had passed away I wanted to make sure that I took care of this so a warrant for arrest was not issued. The first woman I got Carol had such an adittude and was so rude her words: he should be burried by Monday and there was no reason I should miss court not to get in to detail about my situation. But she also told me my partner was not a relative. And had nothing to do with the funeral. I have been with this man for 10 years and my father and him where really close and has been by my side for the whole hospice process. I am extremely upset. To make matters worse she asked for a death certificate. I haven't even made any arrangements yet. I can't believe how badly I was treated today. Even when you have given him your ID, with your name and license number on it. Had to get a new ticket, they had never sent. I had to call to get my ticket criteria, so I didn’t miss the date to plea. Then was given a date to pay the Amend offense, then they all of a sudden, I get a note in the mail saying I need to pay it now? Especially before a holiday? What? you need my money? You can’t pay your staff? Why is there so much lack of respect for the community. Only appeasing their own agenda. This needs to be investigated or just fire the people there and get people who know how to do their job....

If you plead not guilty, you get to show up to virtual court where you are not even given a chance to offer your explanation of what happened. They very quickly offer you a reduced fine infraction to plead guilty, which results in a higher cost once you add on their court fee. Feels very planned. They do offer the option to go to trial if you want and risk getting points on your license (for a stop sign offense?...). Very fast talkers, very rude. Westfield tax payers money hard...
