Took a combination of kitchen knives ( Zwilling Pro $1k ) and my EDC pocket knife ( Benchmade Casbah $230 ). Owner tossed all knives haphazardly in a pile ( I had reservations but didn't say anything initially ). Upon receipt of the knives, all kitchen knives had a combination of light grind marks and scratches along the flat from careless handling. The pocket knife had the tip ground off and blunted ( basically turned a drop point into a tanto ). A lot of metal will have to come off to fix this mistake. Everything was sharp...no issues there, however I'll need to find another sharpener to restore the blade on the EDC. Tried to have a civil discussion with the owner and he kept pushing to refund instead of fully understand the issue. Very unreceptive to criticism or improvement. Kept repeating "I've never seen this before". Not sure what the issue is but will not return.

This store is amazing. I brought in two 8-inch chefs knives and a paring knife to sharpened. My knives are Shun (Japanese Damascus steel) and I usually send them to the manufacturer to get sharpened for free but have to pay shipping. I was nervous about going to a store to get sharpened, but then saw they are an authorized Shun dealer so they know how to take care of these knives. My 3 knives were sharpened in under 10 minutes. I then immediately doubled back and got my 10-inch chefs knife, aerated knife and pruners to get sharpened (I'm near the end of their day so those will be done the next business day). This store is full of goodies that would be very appealing to the foodies and serious cooks of the world. Beautiful cutting boards, wooden serving ware, boos block care, steak knives, knife sheaths, knife blocks, etc. it's very clear that the owners are serious about their craft and quality items. Excellent service! This was my first time at this business and I can't say enough good things; the owner (I think) was so nice. When I hesitated about returning later in the day to pick up my knives, he said he if I could wait a bit he would do it right then and he did! It took about 10 minutes and he did a great job of sharpening 4 knives and I was on my way. Will definitely return with other knives and also recommend him if someone is in the market for his type of services.
