I wanted an arrangement from a local florist to support our businesses here rather than a billion dollar conglomerate delivery company. I searched online for the flower arrangement that I wanted for Mother's Day, and then called the store to order it and set up a pick up time. The arrangements that they offer on their website are beautiful, and in my opinion the nicest in the city that I could find. When I called to place my order, which was a $69 arrangement, the lady on the other end had an extremely rude demeanor throughout the conversation. She stated that one of the flowers wasn't available for the arrangement and could be replaced by calla lillies, which I thought would be lovely since I think calla lillies are beautiful. However, the phone call felt like she was trying to get my purchase and get me "out the door" as soon as possible. When she asked for my credit card information, I had to "pause" her and ask her how my new arrangement would look, how many calla lillies would be included, etc. She just stated "I don't know that information. If you want something nice you will have to pay at least $100." When I questioned her more about how the calla lillies would look, she repeated the same thing.    Read moreI had a wedding in January and asked to have closed Peonies (ofcourse if they opened its was going to be fine) Teresa, the owner said ofcourse we can get you peonies how you want them. That being the main reason why I went with her as a florist. Down the line and getting closer to my wedding day she kept giving excuses and telling me ok well you have to relax and if they come closed and kept on insisting to change the flower. I mean if your not sure you cant get the flower then just say so! On my wedding day, my bouquet of Peonies where sticky and un manageable. Yea I wanted closed peonies but did they have to drench some sticky glue on them? To the point where the pedals where getting stuck on to the table cloths... Also for the pews at the church I PAID and signed the contract that I wanted babys breath bushes and got 1 rose per pew?? How is it that I paid for something and signed it in a contract and gave her pictures of what I wanted and she gives me 1 rose per pew? Also paid for garlands in the vase for the church. And I never got that either. YES I WAS VERY SPECIFIC But i went to the shop and gave them pictures I practically designed it all with their approval and yet they were professional about their work. If A customer asks for something say yes I can do it and do it or say sorry we cant do that. Its that simple. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY. IF THEY CAN SCREW UP A WEDDING THEY CAN SCREW...
   Read moreI placed an order today at 2:47 pm EST for same day delivery. I was honestly expecting an email stating they wouldn't be able to deliver today and move it to tomorrow and would have been ok with that.
However, not only did they deliver today, it arrived at 4:30 pm and the arrangement was stunning! I ordered the "Hug me Tight" as a sympathy arrangement and it exceeded my expectations.
I'm a Floridian living on the West coast and have been using the same florist in Miami for years. When I called them this morning to place an order, the owner was rude and abrupt with me. Chastising me for asking for a delivery in Davie, telling me she was too busy to make a delivery for tomorrow due to too many events she has scheduled and telling me that the arrangement I was looking at was well over $400.00 and if I could afford to spend that. After realizing I've been a loyal customer for almost 20 years, she slightly changed her tune and said "Well, I could do a delivery today - but I can't do any arrangements, only orchids since I don't have time for anything else." I said no thanks.
After ordering from Art of Flowers today, I will never go back to my original florist. The ease of ordering online and the speediness of the delivery has converted me to this florist moving forward.
