Horrible service!!! The only thing good about this place is the male manager that works here!! My mother and I have been coming here several times and the service we received today was appalling. We ordered two teas and two salad platters. The gentleman left for the day and the three women working there were all standing around idle and were chatting away leaving us there for almost two hours. The waitress finally came to the table and apologized robotically and told us food would be ready in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later no food or tea. We finally kept turning around to see if they were even making any bit of our order and they started looking at us talking about us in Spanish. When we got up to leave after seeing someone get food that just walked in, I told the waitress nicely that we were leaving and she offered us to wrap the invisible food "to go". I declined, but advised her that she should have brought us out at least the tea if the food was going to take over two hours. She then arrogantly responded" Bye then! Have a good day." I got livid and told them I speak Spanish and understood what they were saying and how disrespectful they are! The disgusting part is they weren't even busy there! Everything on the menu is amazing. We had the soup of the day which was an Indian lentil soup which was very flavorful. Followed by the guac and gluten free chips which was excellent and a good portion. We also had the baked falafel wrap which came with a side salad and I had the portobello mushroom bowl. The baked falafel and the hummus inside the wrap were definitely the best I've ever had the the portobello bowl was huge and came with a peanut dressing. The hibiscus iced tea super refreshing and for the dessert we had the raw cacao roll which had very nice coconut, fig and date flavors. After our big meal I enjoyed a hot cup of the Indian spiced tea which had cinnamon, cardamom and fennel spices. The owner is very personable and friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed dining there. The lady cashier wasn't friendly in the least, sort of brushed me off. You can tell she wasn't interested in actually assisting me. She did seem frantic and out of place as if she was rushing previously but it wasn't busy when I was in there to even merit that sort of reaction. What I will say and the reason this even got three stars was because the food was amazing and so was the smooties. If you eat healthy you already know you'll pay over 20 dollars for one meal. Which is still ridiculous to me but it's common place if you don't make your own healthy meal.
