Garelick & Herbs — Restaurant in Fairfield

Inconsistent selection, high prices, but most of the food is high quality, and tasty. We used to go in every day to grab a prepackaged salad but the selection is inconsistent. The cobb salad is good but not available at least half the time. If you grab a salad that is the same size or smaller without the protein it costs the same price as a salad with protein. Then you get a piece of chicken from the counter to add protein and now the $10 salad is $17 (plus tax). A shame because we were OK with the $10 cobb and were getting it 5 days per week. Multiply that by two of us and its not economical to go here for $35+ in salad per day.

In response to the reply to this review: I think I clearly stated the issue. I dont see the need for further discussion. I am simply asking for Cobb salads and salads with proteins to be consistently available in the pre-packaged refrigeration section.

Edit: they seem to be stocking the prepackaged salads better now changing to 4 stars.

Edit2: salad quality has been an issue lately. rotting avocado and lettuce in the last few salads....

Pizza was excellent. Waiting an hour for it was not fun. I got there at 11:30 and ordered a pizza. The guy said I had to wait until noon the guy who makes the pizza hasn't come in yet. No problem I waited, at noon was told to wait until 12:30 at this point I was upset. I had an appt to get to and getting someplace else to eat then wait again. I was starving. The pizza guy got there around 12:15 they had my pizza to me by 1230. I'm so glad too because it was almost worth the wait. It was delicious 😋 The space is oddly tight and flowing with things id never buy. Nothing like hand soap for sale next to me while I'm chewing food. I don't understand this store its entirely to small to do everything they are trying to do. Its extremely unorganzied and the staff is well not the happiest group But whatever id go here again for the pizza. This time id get it to go!! Its way to chaotic in there.

Id recommend it for lunch! Must definitely. But if treated better I would have left more stars. Food gets 5 star....

I hosted a 50th birthday party for my wife at our house in Monroe, CT, with the yard all done up, tent, bar, etc. Garelick & Herbs came recommended as a caterer, and without question, I don't believe I could have made a better choice. They took time with me on the front end (prior to the event), including a site visit at my home, to help me with food choices, to determine the size of the wait staff, and to finalize what they would bring and I would have to provide. The day of the event, they showed up on-time (2hrs before the party started), helped set everything up, and they were an absolute joy to work with. The quality of the food was beyond superb, and the service provided by the wait staff was off-the-charts excellent. And there was virtually no clean-up needed when they left after the party ended! I still have guests from the party talking about the food and the service. I plan to use G&H again for future catering needs, and I would highly recommend them. Definite...
