Boscov's — Local services in Whitehall

My first time ever in Boscov's. Wanted to exchange a pair of too small house slippers purchased by another relative for Christmas for my wife's grandmother. "asked first associate I found, "where do I do take an item to exchange?" Was given generic directions "back wall" and a general point. Walked that way. No obvious point of exchange. Saw another associate and asked same question with a rude reply of "wherever you bought them at." I asked "what does that mean?" and got "go back to the same counter you checked out at." I said, "someone else bought them for Christmas, I just need to exchange for a larger size" and then I was basically ignored. I said, "thank you for your help however useless it may have been" and walked off. Had to find yet a 3rd associate who was extremely helpful and got the exchange taken care of. While wondering and waiting I noticed that the store is ABSOLUTELY FILTHY and it wasn't limited to one area. It was the WHOLE STORE. Discarded tags and threads, and garbage and dirty and dustbunnies under things, in the walkways,. The carpet appears to not have been vacuumed since the dawn of time. HORRID. Bad workers and a trashy store.. WILL NOT...

I bought a battery powered candle that didn't work and didn't have the receipt--they gave me an exchange with no problem and on another item that I wanted a different color--they couldn't have been more helpful if they'd been a relative!

The office will bend over backwards trying to help you and about a week ago, my daughter was taking over 1hr to choose pillow for herself and decide about a bigger purchase. (She had to text her hubby at work to get answer about how to pay for the portable A/C)---the sales help was there for her and never grew impatient (I WAS impatient but not the sales people) They answered all her questions and made sure she was happy with her purchase!

This store has been my favorite even when I had to drive to Fair Ground's Mall in Reading to shop there. I still have merchandise I bought at their famous tent sales!

I would recommend this store to anyone who thinks old-fashioned courtesy is gone. AS to the extra Xmas help--they should have gone to office...

Boscov's. I really love this store. I came back to PA on the 15th and one of the first places my friend and I went was to Boscov's.

I actually hate to shop but I really like this store. It has everything you need except food. I picked up a few things and then we just walked around the store looking at all the wonderful things.

The sales clerk was the best. Very friendly amd extremely helpful.

I wish they would/could make their stpre available out West just so I could see all the wondrtful things they carry. You see, tje closest mall to me os 1-1/2 hours away. Not very convenient. Oh well, I just have to shop on line of I need anything. Bit that is not the same as actually seeing the item and feeling its texture.

I recommend this store to anyone who wants good quality at a fair price. And, their sales are fantastic! I rate this store 10 out of 10. They have several stores around here and each one has the same type...
