NOT SO HAPPY FIX!
Not sure how their phone repair is, but their PS4 repair skills are a lot to be desired!!!
My Nephew's PS4 Slim was taken to this place for a HDMI error at the beginning of December 2021. $165 later it was fixed, until he got it home. Now it throws an overheating error. Fast forward to the last week in January. They tell my nephew's grandfather that he would have to call Sony to repair the unit. A refund was given. This would be a three star review until what I saw next.
I ended up with the unit and found a local person that had a PS4 that he repaired for sale. I paid him $160 for his unit, if I have gave him the one that Happy Fix "fixed" in trade.
This gentleman proceeded to take it apart and this is what he found:
They didn’t put the screws holding the housing back in because they stripped them (See Pic)
The HDMI "fix" the front feet of the HDMI port should be flush with the board and crooked. (See Pics)
Missing heat pad (See Pic)
Loose APU heat sync clamp (See Pic)
Processor area was covered with TOO MUCH thermal paste.
To top it off THE PERSON I TOOK IT TOO GOT IT WORKING...
Read moreStay far far away. I had my iphone 14 pro max back glass repaired here. When the work was completed, several pixels on my screen had died, there were glue spots all over the rear of the phone, and there were new scratches all over the perimeter of the phone. The owner refused to take responsibility, saying that the pixels could not have been his fault despite apple support guaranteeing that it was the product of a poorly performed back glass replacement.
This all was after the terrible customer service that happened even before the repair. After ordering the parts, they told me to come back Monday morning. When I arrived on Monday they let me know that the part was not received and that they forgot to call me. They explained to come back again the next day and the repair would only take 1 hour to complete. After returning the next day, I was told the repair was actually 2 hours and that they would need to keep the phone over night. I should have known at that point what I was getting into. I am at fault for not identifying the horrible business...
Read moreI brought in a friend's phone because he could not receive my calls. I suspected that it was blocked but could not figure out how to change the settings. I did not specifically say this. The first thing the repair guys said was - the glass is cracked and it has the antenna so it needs to be replaced. I asked what if it's not the glass. the receptionists said then we will put the old glass back on. (odd) i said what if the phone still does not work? we went round and round. So i left it and came back - the glass was replaced and it still did not work. NOW they checked by calling with their phone and with my phone and low and behold it was blocked. AND THEY SHOWED ME HOW TO UNBLOCK IT! Do I get an apology? no I get defensiveness. "This is not what we do to check if its blocked". (Excuse me - that is what you just did). The professional thing to do was to take the least expensive option first. And by the way $120.00????? I could have gotten the glass replaced for a lot less... ...
