The food was delicious 10/10 but the service was not so good. I was spending time with my family and we when down to Texas to see one of my brothers who is in the military and we have just got finished watching a movie, one of my other brother who has autism had his popcorn. When we got in there it was very not welcoming they had a weird look on there faces nice but they look at my brother like he was disgusting and they gave us 45 minute wait when really it was only 20 minutes or 15. When we got to the table the waitress look at him like he was a monster she got us our drinks and took our orders but then she had a replacement. This might be a misunderstanding, but I feel like she didn’t want to serve us because of my brother who had autism. Every time the other waiter came over. She acted kind of weird and kept on looking at my brother. I know he looks different, but you don’t have to look at him like he was an animal. Me other brother how we were visiting is in the military and has been here before and gotten military discounts not on Veterans Day about a month ago. But when he ask the waitress said they did not have a military discount. My Brother was confused by this since he has gotten it before so he asked her again. She said she’ll go ask but then the manager came over which usually doesn’t happen. Usually she’ll go ask him she’ll say I’m sorry but we don’t have one. I have never lived in Texas and I don’t know the environment around me or the awareness of autism or how it is like here, but I feel like it was just a little unfair to treat some differently just because they have autism and they also treated the rest of my differently. And acted like we were just wild beasts. This might be a misunderstanding, but if your going here and one person has a disability or something that people would look at or make them treat differently. I would not recommend going here. It’ll just be making you sad at the end I cried because I felt so bad...

Here's our dining tale, last night my husband and I arrived to Olive Garden to nearly an empty restaurant, were seated immediately. We sat for a solid 10+ minutes without anyone coming to take our drink order, a "hey I will be right with you" ...nothing. We were "looked at" by the two servers that were in our area and passed over repeatedly. A couple with three children were seated (by a dark headed girl) well after us, had drinks, salad and bread sticks and yet we sat patiently. I could understand if the restaurant was full, but there were 3 tables (including ours) in the area where we were sitting with two servers in that area. After the server (who looked like a younger chunky Quentin Tarantino) literally made eye contact with my husband, then turned around and disappeared that was it.
As we walked out, a party of 7 was checking in and I advised the hostess as we were departing to "make sure you seat them somewhere they will get waited on, we're leaving" she looked like a deer in the headlight and did not attempt to get a manager, take control of the situation, nothing.
So in closing...if you want great food, and outstanding service...take an extra two miles and go to Johnny Carinos. We were seated immediately...and it made up for what we experienced 10...
Read moreI normally go to Olive Gardens in large cities (2+million people) and they are always just ok. This one in Wichita Falls is honestly much better than ones I've been to previously. First the bread sticks were cooked perfectly and dusted with just enough salt to really hit home. Next the cabernet I ordered was (8$?) A glass and wasn't anything extraordinary, but was very nice and matched the dish just perfectly.
The dish was interesting. Good. But interesting, it was this breaded shrimp dish, but every single thing on the plate was breaded and fried? I believe it had peppers, onions, and shrimp. Wish the shrimp would have been the only thing fried and the peppers and onions only caramelized. The dish was still nice.
Overall, I was extremely pleased with my experience. Immediately got seated, friendly staff, the music....let's talk about the music! Keep that up! Non stop classic bangers, like Papa Loves Mombo, that's amoré, and Mambo Italiano. Bravo. Music is so important and with my wine and meal it make the atmosphere...
