I have stayed with this property before and have good memories of the place. Upon checking in to this place I found the lobby, grounds, and sleeping room all in Hilton condition. The automation system put me on the 3rd floor, but that was fine since they have elevators.
This property sits in sort of an unusual place next to a deceased shopping mall. It’s been all I expect from Hampton, and have found nothing wrong with the room or service. The desk staff has been courteous, professional, and helpful. They were constantly sending me text messages about the quality of my stay, and asking if I needed anything.
They have done away with the bath tubs and replaced them with standing showers. The bathroom was completely free of mold, or mildew and the fixtures very clean, and working right. The toilet flapper was leaking/wasting water, but worked just fine. The veneer had been torn off the corner of the desk in room 302, and TV stand, and that does need to be fixed. The work chair doesn’t raise and lower like it’s supposed to.
The wireless network works as intended, with no connection issues or hassles. The speeds were symmetrical at 5Gbps both down and up. The television worked correctly, and had plenty of channels. There was little I’ve found yet that isn’t working right, and someone cares about the condition of this property. The rugs in the common areas were very clean, not worn, and looked good. They are using those Covid-resistant TV remotes which don’t give the user as much control as is needed.
There are lots of choices from Hilton and several others within a couple blocks of here, both lodging and dining. There’s no charge for parking here, and the parking lots are safe and lighted. I might suggest they re-stock the pantry, as they didn’t have hardly anything to sell in there. There’s a full sized grocery store 2blks to the south, and one can buy anything they need without a car.
The elevator door has become arthritic, and the last couple inches it’s barely opening. It needs to see a maintenance tech, and it sounds like the whole car needs lubricating. It’s working but very obvious the door opening is not working well. It did not fail, or give any problem.
The landscaping is suffering from too much winter, and needs the dead trimmed out of it. The grounds overall are quite nice on the side opposite the deceased mall. The mall is a collection of last gasps of air before the whole thing collapses in the near future.
The first morning there I elected to skip their breakfast because they had put cheese in the eggs. I did eat there the next morning, and the only thing that didn’t taste good was the sausage obviously baked in the oven, and it was on the verge of cold. They had the standard fare Hampton usually does, with waffles, oatmeal, cold cereal, and all the coffee and juices one could want. Cooking sausage or bacon in the oven without crisping it up on the grill produces a weird taste I don’t care for.
Hotel buildings are constantly under attack by the people who rent them. They don’t care what they damage, and things wear out very fast. This building is not young, but the owners are doing what is needed to keep it meeting Hilton standards. It did not show signs of excessive wear or lack of care anywhere.
I definitely would use this place again if in this area. I would be willing to recommend them to others. They are a franchise, but taking the Hilton quality demands seriously. IT looks good; it works good, and the pricing is a good...

Read moreI have never stayed somewhere and had so many problems! My stay was about a month long June-July 2025. Complete chaos and stressful!!
My experience: check in - no greeting and lady vented to me about another customer with expletives after waiting 5 minutes for her to acknowledge I was there… extremely unprofessional!
+NO elevator. +NO pool. +poor breakfast options
My room saga: Room One- smelt SO bad. Y’all, I almost vomited it was THAT bad!! Even the employee came to see and agreed it was disgusting. She wanted to know if an air freshener would be good enough… um no. (This room had the smell of stale drugs) Moved to room two: Door literally broke off the hinges the first time the door opened. This happened in front of the employee, she just said it happens…. What?!?! Now I definitely don’t feel safe!! Moved to room three: AC doesn’t work and room was about 80 degrees! I had to go buy a fan so I wouldn’t suffocate. -Water quit working on the sink and Maintenance had to come multiple times.
I called to see what I can do because the hotel is literally FALLING apart, I was told they could move me to the THIRD floor!! So basically, suck it up or they will make things worse for me. Doesn’t sound too comforting does it?
Breakfast is very hit or miss- Slim milk ONLY. Saw the employee over the kitchen area drop the tongs and put them back for people to use. Gross.
And my last MAJOR issue- they are INFESTED with COCKROACHES!! {I’ve got pictures!}
Multiple times I came back to my room to relax and found multiple HUGE LIVE cockroaches in my room. I had to go in search of an employee to get them out (I’m terrified!). They were usually hiding in the back room and I would have to cough loudly for help.
This was for a business trip. The conditions were absolutely appalling, the lack of care/cleanliness for safety for guests is eye opening. I’ll be letting my corporate office know to not send employees here.
For hotel GM- I have pictures of the bugs and logs of the issues I faced at this establishment, if you even care to follow up….
UPDATE: I had a few days left but had to end my trip early due to the amount of cockroaches in the FOURTH room they put me in. No apology, no empathy, NOTHING from staff/management.
I wouldn’t send my enemy to this place. It needs...
