We've done biz with both Kay (purchased engagement ring) and most recently Helzberg (purchased wedding bands + bracelet repair) —ironically a stone's throw from each other on Maize. Fellow comparison shoppers, keep reading!...

Honestly, both offer excellent quality jewelry and service. But after our most recent experiences, we're officially Helzberg converts. TL;DR - Helzberg has a LEGENDARY onsite bench jeweler. Yes, onsite. As in on the premises. And their work is 🤌🏼✨. Translation: Quicker turnaround for resizing, repairs, and all the emergencies in between. When I got my engagement ring cleaned and resized at Kay’s, they had to ship it out. Over the next few weeks, I had a few heart-drop panic attack moments when I reached with another finger to fidget my ring only to feel its absence 💔. IYKYK.

I took my grandmother necklace to be repaired as well as another 36 inch 18k necklace to be divided. This has been an absolute nightmare, not only did they soddered the links together on my grandmother necklace. They actually moved the clasp to the other side, where none of the beads or babies could be threaded back on then they gave me the 36 inch necklace that I had requested be made in two equally sized chains one was 16 inch necklace and one 20 inch necklace. No one seemed to really have a care in the world that they had poorly repaired my grandmother necklace…or wasted my time to come back and get the necklaces correct that I had asked for. When you walk in the door, they all just stare at you like you’re an inconvenience… And to then when somethings wrong, it’s just out of your time and your pocket to come back for multiple trips. And to think I was about to buy another diamond to put on my ring…nope. Canceling my credit card here… And...

I have been going to this place for years. They have always been very helpful and kind. I’m especially fond of Cheryl & Kat. I made a call last evening and spoke with Kat and saw online a piece of jewelry that I would like to get for the next day and asked her to keep an eye on it to let her know that I’d be coming in the next day to buy it. She was very helpful and said that she would be very happy to put away the item for me if I would come in the next day when they opened so I could purchase the item. To me she’s the best and kind and helpful and a lovely person at heart. I look forward to seeing her today and giving her the business. Again, Helzberg is the best place to go...
