Kohls is always a great place to shop for business casual clothes. I got excited when I saw Sephora in the store. I immediately go over looking at perfumes. The sales clerk was at the register when I first walked in, and no she did but smile nor speak. I then begin looking at different perfumes, particularly looking for Marc Jacob’s Daisy to compare prices with Atlanta stores. The clerk walks from behind the desk and as I moved around I noticed she was behind me looking through a case of some sort. Since she was so close I asked her about various perfume sizes and brands and she could not offer enough information to convince me that she should be working in this area. I moved to the other side of the store while another customer walked in. The hotel didn’t greet her either, she also didn’t appear to follow her around the store. I was laughing in my head because this clerk was following around the store, but really trying to play it off. I went back to the original perfumes I wanted and I said that I was ready to check out. I called out to the clerk twice, mind you she was right behind me on the next aisle, then she finally came offer. No apologies or anything. I checked out and then I asked her if she was having a bad day. She responded no, why? I said because you seen really distracted like you don’t want to be here and you didn’t have basic knowledge about a perfume you sell regularly and you never gave me eye contact until now. I hope your day gets better and you really shouldn’t make assumptions about people because you never know who you are being unkind to. I ended with “be blessed” and I walked out of Sephora section and into Kohl’s where they are...
Read moreI visited this store because I wanted to exchange a pair of pants. The store didn't have the pants and I was just wanting to exchange $14 worth of merchandise for the same amount and pay the difference ifs needed!
But of course there is a but......I hate coming across "managers " that feel they are more than what they really are or feel as if customer satisfaction is not what keeps stores in business. I was surprise to know that a woman by the name of Lasharay? was the manager there, her nasty attitude, the way she talks to customers, and her solution to my return was less than satisfactory. Not even the owners/shareholders act as nasty as some nasty managers!
I didn't checkout with her, but with Angie the second time! Angie was the complete opposite, she was polite, profession, and looked for the best way to help with my exchange. I got my exchange , but it took Angie an extra minute or two to do it right, while the manager just wanted to do it whatever was easy for her and not satisfying to me. Angie should be promoted and that sorry manager kicked out! I would definitely stay at the Derby Kohls even when I pay more taxes, but they have better customer care service so far. This was the first time to this store location and that manager makes customers not want to come back!
Ghetto manager and she probably feels she needs a little power trips to make up for whatever she lacks of..... starting with customer...
Read moreMy husband went in this afternoon to pick up the order and was told they didn’t have it and he needed to go find the clothes himself off the rack. They didn’t have what I ordered, so he left. I called them to ask about it and was told they DID have my order, and didn’t know why the front desk had told him otherwise, but that they would hold it until he could come back in. We live 45 minutes away, so to go back in was a huge hassle. He goes back in, only for them to tell him they do NOT have my order. I had the email saying my order was ready for pickup, he showed them the code, everything. They finally told him that he was supposed to go to the back of the store, find our bag in one of the bins, bring the bag back up front so they could check him out. And told him this was to save him time? It has been YEARS since I shopped at Kohl’s and I will never go back after this. They were so ill equipped and rude and unhelpful. And why in the world would my husband have to walk to the back of the store to search for our bag, only to bring the bag back up front to be checked out “to save him time”? I was on the phone for about 13 minutes with a lady from the store, but was on hold for 10 of those minutes. Overall, a horrible experience. Enough for me to never want to deal with...
