By far the worst manicure/fill I’ve ever received. If you’re looking for nail art, this is NOT the place. This is how I was allowed to walk out. As you can see, my nails were all different shapes, strands of cotton still hanging from my nails, nail polish left on the side of my hand, just the sloppiest nail art I’ve ever seen. The lady that did my nails is the owner. Midway through my nails, she rushed through, left and had an older woman put the top coat on. The owner let me pay $55 for this fill. I left and went straight to City Nails where he fixed what was done. The fact that the owner thought this was acceptable and allowed a customer to pay for something like that is ridiculous. I went back to the salon to get a refund. I showed her the pictures below and compared them to my new set from City Nails and the owner was very rude and argumentative. She did give me a refund but continued to argue with me as she was refunding me. Just another reason I will never, ever give this place my business ever again. Pictures for reference. The last one is what I asked for and the rest are what was done at New Town Nails.

I had the BEST experience at this nail salon! The attention to detail was spot-on, and my nails look absolutely amazing! The salon itself was super clean and inviting, which made me feel really comfortable. Also, the nail technician was so friendly and offered some fantastic recommendations that I’m glad I went with! I’m already looking forward to my next visit — definitely a new favorite spot!

This shop has been totally renovated under new ownership and is gorgeous, very clean, and bright! I got a nude pink gel manicure with chrome with Lana, and I asked her not to trim my cuticles. She is kind and does stunning work! She applied the gel super smoothly and thinly, giving the perfect natural yet elevated look. I definitely recommend this place for beautiful nails!

(I’d give a -10 stars if I could). I had my nails done here on Saturday, August 24th (dip color/service). By that night, three of them cracked, so I went back and had them fixed at no charge. By the following weekend 7 days later), I had five more crack (to include the ones already fixed once), but I was out of town, so I could not get back to see them until today (12 days after they were done). The guy who works there said I’d have to pay again to have them done since it was almost a month since I had them done. I reminded him that it hadn’t even been two weeks! He kept saying it’s been too long and I’d have to pay. I let him know that I have been getting my nails done for years and that the previous salon I went to where I had lived (out of state) did them and they lasted at least three weeks minimum without breaking, cracking or chipping. I’ve even went to a salon in Newport News a few times and their service lasted three + weeks. After pushing back a few times as an irate customer, he said I could go back the next day and speak with the owner and see what she would say since they were “so busy”... there were two customers and three employees. I’m not trying to get something I don’t deserve for free and would gladly pay for services for something I should be paying for. I don’t agree with having to pay again for services/products that didn’t even last 24 hours the first time and 12 days after the first...

My daughter and I went here on a Monday afternoon at 2:00. There was one customer in the salon when we arrived. We were asked what we wanted we said 1 Mani/Pedi and 1 Pedi/Acrylic Fill. Picked our colors out and a lady came from the back to seat me and a young man did the same for my daughter. The lady doing my pedicure, cut my toe nail so deep it bleed, never apologized and stuck my foot back on the water. Kept pulling it up and sitting back in water till she finally dried it off and put something that burned terribly on it. Then she painted my toes the wrong color, not even a color I had picked just some random color on the table beside her. By the time I realized it she had finished four toes. So I just said forget it. During the pedicure several other customers walked in and asked for services. Much to my surprise they took my daughter to start her manicure and left me sitting in the pedi chair. Only to wait till she was half done with her manicure to come over and say “I’m very busy and I am the only one who can do nails, I can’t do your fill now. Can you come back another day?” WOW! Now I have to go to another salon to get my fill and my toe is throbbing still. The salon is dirty and unkept and the customer service is the horrible. We will not be returning to this salon. Said that a salon located in the prime Real Estate of New Town in Willamsburg being the namesake would be such a...

I dropped off my boyfriends daughters to get their nails done thinking it would be a nice treat while I had to take care of some work . When I picked them up from Newtown I could see the youngest (13) was frustrated and found out the technician that did her nails sanded her finger down so bad she was bleeding . The tech also failed to listen to her about length and made them incredibly long for a girl her age. As if that wasn’t bad enough the worst of it- the very next day she went to put her hair up and her index nail literally crumbled , there was no fixing it or gluing it back and I don’t even want to take her to the same salon for a repair after her crummy experience there . Complete waste of money . The oldest had her nails done as well and while they look nice at first you can tell one is slightly crooked and they are too thin and I worry about breakage with hers. We go every two weeks faithfully to another salon and I won’t make the mistake of trying this one in Newtown again . I am surprised they can stay open with service like that and they should be glad I wasn’t with them when the youngest...
