1 Star – this shop doesn’t even deserve one star i want to give minus. Serious Misconduct, Privacy Violation, and Dangerous Staff Behavior at Blaze Fire Pizza (Virginia)
We are writing this to formally warn families and customers about an extremely disturbing and unlawful experience we had at Blaze Fire Pizza.
Not only was the food below average and the staff’s attitude disgraceful, but what we experienced was a violation of our family’s safety, privacy, and dignity.
While dining, a group of teenagers began filming our family without consent, which included elders and children. When we respectfully approached them to clarify, the situation escalated due to complete mismanagement and negligence by the Blaze Fire staff.
Instead of stepping in to stop this unacceptable behavior, staff members defended the teenagers, and shockingly, one staff member even joined them and recorded our family. This is absolutely disgusting and disturbing.
To make matters worse, rather than protect the privacy and rights of paying customers, the staff called the police on us, simply because we raised our voice against being filmed without permission. Later, they helped the minors escape before law enforcement could arrive – further suggesting they were aware of wrongdoing and chose to cover it up.
Let us make it absolutely clear: ✅ Filming someone without consent in a private or semi-private space (such as a restaurant) is a violation of privacy under Virginia law (Va. Code § 18.2-386.1). ✅ Harassing or recording individuals, especially families with children, without consent can amount to harassment and even stalking under Virginia’s criminal code. ✅ Businesses have a legal obligation to maintain a safe, respectful environment for all patrons. ✅ Staff joining in to film a customer is gross misconduct and potentially grounds for legal action and revocation of business license.
The way Blaze Fire Pizza handled this was not just unprofessional — it was legally questionable and deeply traumatizing for our family, especially the elders and children who were present.
🚫 We demand this incident be investigated. 🚫 The staff involved — especially the one who filmed customers — should face immediate disciplinary action. 🚫 This is a matter that we are prepared to escalate legally if no proper steps are taken.
📢 To all families: Avoid Blaze Fire Pizza at all costs. This place is not safe, respectful, or law-abiding. They do not value basic customer rights, and their staff is clearly untrained, unsupervised, and hostile toward the people they are...
Read moreI ordered a gluten free, vegan pizza because I have an allergy. Typically, not a problem - they nail it. This time, I’m two slices in and realize something is severely off. They gave me a regular pizza.
Luckily, I’m not Celiac, but this will most likely effect me negatively for the next 3 weeks-month.
I’ve steadily watched the service at this location go down hill. Half the staff has their head phones in their ears, not really a shock they can’t hear anything I’m saying.
I’m not one to complain, but if it messes with my health, I’ve got a problem. When I called, they told me to “bring the pizza back.”
Customer service? 0. If you have a health allergy, be VERY clear what you need and check your pizza before you leave.
UPDATE FOR 2024 -
These people have a huge communication problem. After moving away and coming back, I've given them another shot. Not once, BUT TWICE, I arrived in the building to pick up a GF pizza order, only for them to tell me that they're out of dough.
Do you think you could call/notify someone... long before they show the HECK up? I placed an order at 6:45/6:50 for 7:30, only to get there at 7:30 to pick up my phone while I'm staring at the manager's back for him to tell me they're out of the dough.
I was in food service, I get it. You had more than enough time to look at your stock and notify the customer.
It's bad service and I'm over it. RIP Blaze, good product, horrendous, inconsistent,...
Read moreWe called the number that Blaze has listed on the internet. BEWARE - that number IS NOT TO BLAZE! It is a ‘call center’. I asked if they deliver and was told they do. Approximately30 minutes later, I received a text from Door Dash letting us know what time to expect delivery. Well, this went on and on. Finally, 1-1/2 hours later, I received a call from a Door Dash driver. He was there to get our pizza (just prior to 10 PM - which is what time they list as closing time) - BUT BLAZE IS CLOSED!!!! NO PIZZA FOR US!! An hour later, I received another series of texts that our pizza was 6 or 7 minutes away! THEN, it said our pizza was delivered at 9:31 PM! I called the driver and was told he had to drive to our location so that they could close out the order!! What a mess!! Blaze still charged our card. I called a little before noon. Finally transferred to the restaurant and the guy knew all about the screw up. Of course, he placed the blame 100% on Door Dash, saying they shouldn’t have accepted the order bc they knew Blaze was closing an hour early. Keep in mind the order was placed by calling the number that Blaze has listed on the internet! He cannot refund the money bc DD has to do it. Guess what? I don’t even have a number for DD!! He did offer to make a pizza at no charge, but that really doesn’t solve the problem. He was nice enough - until he hung...
