The Fall menu is here!! We have been very excited to stop in and try the new items. We shared the Spiced Pumpkin Donut Holes - O_M_G!!! SOOOOO good!! The salted caramel dipping sauce - yum! And I really loved the new Blazing Dragon Juice. Very delicious with Strawberry, Lemon, and Dragon Fruit. My Frittata Rustic was perfection today - Chef's Kiss - and shout-out to the chef. Definitely one of my all time faves, filled with kale, mushrooms, tomatoes, sauteed onions, and topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Served piping hot. We were also very happy to see all the friendly faces of our friends who work here. They always make us feel very welcomed. Our server today was Keaton. He is always so friendly, and takes good care of us. We did get to see Emma. She was working in the kitchen today but came out to see us and brought us our appetizer. She always greets us with the biggest smile. We also got to say hello to Tiffany and Nate. Today was the manager's birthday and everyone was wearing cute kitty cat headbands. So fun. It's always like visiting family here.
We had to stop in at First Watch today and get fueled up for antiquing! I always feel good about eating here with their healthier choices. Healthier, and in my opinion, more delicious, options! Today I opted for the Morning Market Veg Omelet. This is the perfect meal to give me energy all afternoon, as it did. It comes with whole grain toast and a baby leaf salad. I got a Kale Tonic to go, and I enjoyed it throughout the day. It's very refreshing (and I prefer to sip on this delicious juice rather than a soda to keep my energy up while shopping, for sure). Our server today was Gracie. She was so friendly and helpful. Tiffany came by to say hello and chatted with us for a few minutes. Everyone here is so delightful. We always try to visit at least once a week. Huge thumbs up everyone! (06-27-25)
First Watch in Willis has quickly become our favorite brunch/lunch go-to since moving to this area. It's always so delicious, and everyone is super friendly. Our latest brunch outing was today, Father's Day, 2025. It was really busy, but they got us seated pretty swiftly. Keaton was our server today. He is new, but did a fabulous job. We also got to see Emma. She's so sweet. We enjoy being greeted by her on our visits. Our food was served quickly although we were told they were running a little behind. Emma brought us out some blueberry lemon cornbread so we wouldn't be too hungry. It was so good! Definitely recommend. We both got Skillet Hashes, and both were served as ordered, and piping hot. I enjoyed a Kale Tonic today. Their juices here are always top notch. We will continue to return regularly. Everything that we've tried on the menu is wonderful. Their flavor profiles/combos...
Read more8/27/25 - I've been in several times the past few weeks for some semi-healthy breakfasts. The Avocado toast today has been extremely tasty for as simple as it is, and I might venture to say that it's the whole grain toast & the 1" + piled Avocado, creating the perfect bites. I tried a poached-fried egg, semi-expecting a bit of a runny yolk, and they came out almost hard boiled, but it was simply a "try it" kind of thing. Could be awesome if done in a beef stock or something to give it a bit of Fall feel, but that's just my idea. Phenomenal. Danette, who was on the bar this morning was absolutely amazing, taking care of multiple customers, running
7/6/25 - it's SunYay! I got out this morning & did my yard work duties & after my shower, I decided to come over here again for a brunch. No joke, this place was solid, in terms of food & service, when they first opened, but today, it's one of the best, IMO anyway. The Shrimp and grits were phenomenal, last time I was in and I'm picky about both of those. This morning, it's Strawberry Tres Leche French Toast & a mimosa. JT - my bartender is knocking it out of the park. Its business, obviously, but they seem to have fun with it, too.
There were a few, typical, issues for a new place. The waitstaff had one thing at our table (I forget what) that they all had to ask - 9 different in 15 minutes. Can't remember what that was, though. The food was great, aside some slight missed instructions with the order- again, first week issues, I'm sure. There was also a crazy 2+ week delay in a charge from their soft open, but we were in the following week & that charge went well. I do, like this restaurant, I just wish it were a bigger location; they're...
Read moreWe enjoyed brunch at First Watch on Sunday. We were surprised that there was no real wait to be seated given the time we arrived. It was still busy and had a friendly atmosphere. Our waitress was able to answer our questions (I couldn't decide what to order because there were so many delicious sounding options) and I was recommended to try the Elevated Egg Sandwich. Boy was I impressed!! I would definitely order that again. It also came with a side of potatoes. We also got the turkey sausage and biscuit which is always a safe choice of yummy country breakfast. For drinks I always love a fresh squeezed orange juice and my husband ordered the seasonal Mint Mocha Iced Coffee. That had a great, subtle mix of peppermint. Before leaving we couldn't help but order their seasonal Gingerbread Spice Donuts to-go. Y'all it was sooo good! I'm not a huge gingerbread fan and those donuts were gone! An enjoyable experience overall, we will be returning.
Side note: They have a nice outdoor dining space as well as a cute coffee bar area too. We chose regular dining this time. The manager seemed like a wonderful leader. Upon arrival she helped a worker handle a concern about a family wanting a reservation (no reservations at this location!) and when there was an accidental syrup mess on the floor from a server, she jumped in to show the workers how to clean it and also finished it up on her own. Your leadership did not...
