I went in recently to have the screen on my iPhone 7 replaced. I admittedly had dropped the phone and cracked the screen. The phone was completely functional, just the screen was cracked, and I didn't like the way it looked. I called Computer Warriors in the morning and asked if they could repair it and how much it would cost. They said they could and it would cost $120.00. First, this is more expensive than other establishments, but I figured they may do a better job since they had positive reviews and a real store. The staff was friendly. They said the repair would take an hour and a half, so I left the phone with them. When I returned they gave me the phone back and I paid. The phone was functional, and the screen was repaired. Within ten minutes of leaving the store however the home button on my iPhone stopped working. That being said the access button (an on-screen home button that arrives if the home button breaks) was there and working. I called Computer Warriors back to ask if they may know what was wrong and if they could fix the home button. Of course, they were shocked and said yes. I returned to the store explained the situation and they said they could fix it give them and hour or so. Came back in an hour the phone was not done. I waited and waited and waited (2 hours). Finally, the manager comes out says the button is still broken and now the phone does not turn on without it. He explained, quite poorly why this might be and left with no solutions. We waited some more. The manager came out with again no answers and even worse explanations. I waited some more. Eventually, he came out and explained that they may be able to salvage the phone, but they'd need to wipe all of my data. That solution made no sense and was inconvenient. Even though I back up my data regularly some of my precious videos and memories are on apps and other things. Now, I am left phoneless, without many meaningful photos and videos, and without any sort of way out of this situation. The fact is they broke my phone during the screen repair, didn't do anything to remedy it until too late and then destroyed it further in a last ditch and ill-informed attempt to cover their butts. The manager was very apologetic and offered a refund and merchandise, but nothing could reimburse the memories and time lost in their store today.
I'd also like to mention one of the store employees joked to the man who had "repaired" my phone "How many phones are you going to destroy this week?" That is a very unfortunate joke given the situation, in poor tastes and frightening if it...
Read moreSo I originally took my switch over to IFixNC July 3rd because my one year old dropped a cup of water on it. A few minutes after that happened it wouldn’t work. I originally went for the cheaper option to go to IFixNC and regretted it almost a month later being that my switch was STILL at ifixnc for 3 1/2 weeks and nothing had been done to it. So we called Computer Warriors to fix our switch because my 5 year old really wanted his switch back. I asked them if they had any charging ports in stock at the store because that’s what the other place told me needed to be switched out and they said they do keep them in stock at the store which was great!! Ifixnc does not, they had to order a part and told me it arrived and still didn’t work on it for 11 days. Computer warriors didn’t even have it for less than 24 hours and somehow they managed to get it fixed and turned on!! So grateful for these people for everything they’ve done. We weren’t there long but the communication was so on point with check ins!! They are more expensive than ifixnc but I don’t care anymore they get things done so much faster!! Definitely coming straight here next time we need to get anything fixed! I also reached out first to the Computer Warriors location in Jacksonville and she let me know it may be quicker to get done if I drive and take it to Wilmington which I loved because she understood how long we were originally waiting for it to get fixed. We’ve had my sons switch since Monday and he has been the happiest boy and we haven’t had any issues with the switch not charging. Thank you Computer Warriors location in...
Read moreI took my laptop to another computer repair shop at first shame on me. I told him that I was trying to hook up an old HP VGA Monitor to a new HP Envy Laptop via a HDMI to VGA box. I was told I blew out motherboard via the graphics card, charging port, and the charging cord was bad. I got my laptop back and took it to Computer Warriors this morning at 10:03am. I told Anthony the above information and he told me unless the box shorted out I should not have blown the motherboard. So I paid the $50.00 for diagnosis. He said it would enter the que on Monday. He also checked my cord while I was there and it checked out fine. Anthony was very nice and polite to me and answered all mine and my husbands questions. Around 12:16 this afternoon Anthony called and told me our computer was up and running. I went back to the store to pick it up. All he done was pop off the back took out the battery for 45 minutes and put it back in and rerouted the charging port cable to where it was supposed to be, put the back back on and powered up our computer. From there he did all the diagnostic test that showed the computer was not hurt from what I did. Thanks to the Lord and the Computer Warriors my computer did not need all the stuff I was told from the other repair shop. They were fast, honest, and very nice and polite. Thank you Anthony for listening to us and for answering all of our questions and listening to all of our concerns. I will definitely being using you guys again for all my...
