I am in utter shock and awe. I have been an avid âLilly Loverâ and shopper for as long as I can remember. When ever my husband and I are on vacation I find a Lilly store. Even all of my desk stationary pens , etc. is Lilly. I truly would go on about how much I love the brand and the Icon herself. She was a true class act. Life has gotten busy ( I own a business and work a lot) so I find I order online a lot. Anyhow I was going out to dinner to cheer me up and needed a dress, naturally I knew lilly would make me smile and off I went. I was wearing Blk leggings and a searsucker baseball cap and pink vest.I donât think I looked that bad lol The sales women in there could not have been ruder if they tried !!! Definitely not the sweet Lilly staff Iâve always encountered in other stores. They were steaming a new line and when I asked about a specific dress the woman looked me up and down ( seriously we still do that lol ) moved the rack and said itâs not for sale. Umm okay I know for a fact (lilly lover here) she could have presold it đ I ended up trying on a few dresses and when I came out of the fitting room I was going to ask their opinions and nothing but nasty looks I was already sooo upset I hurried and bought a dress I didnât absolutely love on me. They all but threw it wrinkled in a bad the size of a makeup bag. I got in my car and cried why ? Going in Lilly stores always made me happy I buy Lilly gifts to put smiles on others faces.!! I had just had what felt like my millionth miscarriage and really feeling terrible about myself and it was valentines week and all my hubby wanted to do was make me smile with dinner and saying â go to Lillyâ Needless to say yesterday I had lunch with my mom and we stopped in Lilly we were dressed from lunch and the same woman was in there all smiles with my mom ( sheâs always dressed impeccably) She looked at me like sheâs seen me kind of she remembered me when I returned the dress. Again she had another new rack of clothes out and when my mom asked she said â I just took these out would you like to try anything onâ? Really ???? Total Pretty Woman moment yesterday . Btw I really didnât think I looked completely homeless when I went on Monday seriously I was wearing leggings and yeah not a ton of makeup. You never ever know what someone is going through. Lilly herself would have hated this entire situation . Means girls is...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at Lilly Pulitzer in Wilmington, NC. My fiancĂ© ordered some last-minute Christmas gifts online, and I went to pick them up in-store. When I arrived, I was met by someone I assume was the owner, who handed me a business card with the storeâs direct phone number and told me I needed to shop in person in the future to âhelp the store stay open.â She insisted that I relay this message to my fiancĂ©.
The tone was condescending and rude, and it completely ruined the experience. There were far better ways to communicate this without making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I was ready to return the items, but my fiancé and I ultimately decided we would simply never shop there again.
This store has officially lost a customer. I recommend they reevaluate how they treat patrons if they want to keep...
Read moreI had a rather awkward experience here. I walked in, and was a little surprised by not immediately being greeted. I then went to the back to see the sales (once again, not being greeted while passing the cashier), and a nice lady asked me how I was doing with a friendly inviting smile, but she didnât ask if I needed any help. Itâs always nice when employees anywhere can be the ones to break the ice, but that didnât happen here. She was just having a personal conversation with someone else (which was not about the store or the clothes). I actually came here to buy a shirt that I had seen a customer of mine wearing the other day. She said that she had just bought it, so I knew it would most likely be in stock, but I just left because I felt somewhat...
