I am not one to write negative reviews, but I could not believe how rude these women were who were working here. There were a surplus of them working, and while they appeared to want to help, once they realized I was there to only try on scrubs, they stopped helping me. They simply pointed me in the direction of the scrubs I was looking for. Then, once I tried them on, one of them came to tell me how unfair it was to them for me to just go in there and try on uniforms if I wasnât going to buy anything, and if the company I was working for wasnât using them for the order. I explained to her that I WAS planning on buying some aside from my companyâs order (but certainly not after that comment!). I even put the majority of my items back where they belong as to not cause them more work. The nerve of that lady! Unbelievable. I canât believe I drove nearly an hour to get this type of service. And so disappointed because I had heard great things about this place. I will NOT be recommending Heidiâs to anyone! UPDATED post I just read the review that was apparently written only a few hours before mine⌠they state that the employees respond to you based on âWHO you are and HOW you lookâ⌠wow⌠this makes sense despite the owners rebuttal. I kept thinking to myself why they treated me so rudely. How this place differed from any other retail store where youâre allowed to try on clothes prior to purchasing, without any obligation to buy⌠Could it have been because I was the only Latina in there? Did they profile me when I spoke Spanish to my two kids? Were they annoyed that I brought my kids with me and assumed I was a single mother? (They have an entire kids play area with toys. My kids chose to sit on the bench and discuss multiplication the entire time.) Very interesting that two negative reviews were written within a few hours of each other. May I remind these employees that their customer base are largely NURSES and MAs, who take care of them and their loved ones when they are ill. You never know the turns life will take. Best to treat EVERYONE with kindness and RESPECT, no matter who they are or how they look.
RESPONSE TO OWNER Wow. So many lies and misinformation to unpack here. Let's start with the most preposterous one-- check your cameras, because I tried on 11 scrubs, then added 4 more. My kids would be able to explain to you that 11+ 4 = 15. NOT 40. Furthermore, it is not rocket science to put them back properly on the rack. Considering that I was there "for almost two hours" with minimal help, I knew exactly where to put them. Second, I did not say my office nor corporate sent me there to get sized. I said, 1) I wanted to try on scrubs, 2) someone recommended Heidi's, and 3) that my office orders them through Allheart. They have never sent employees to your small business, and I will make sure to never recommend it. You ASSUMED that I was using your store, employees, and resources. You and your surplus of employees could have been better sales reps by being friendly, helpful, and maybe even upselling products that aren't typically included in orders, such as support stockings, shoes, accessories, etc. When you check your cameras, you would see that I went to the other side of the store to browse scrubs that were not included "in my notebook," because I had every intention of buying some pants in the brands I preferred. But certainly not after the way you treated me. Regardless, as a customer entering a retail store, I am not legally obligated to purchase anything after a certain amount of time or after trying on a certain number of items. Third, as to your point of going to an office to get diagnosed, "refusing to pay" and going somewhere else to get treated-- that's called an initial consultation followed by getting second, third, or even a fourth opinion. You're comparing apples to oranges. So, as to the point I made earlier, remember that you are dealing with people who work in one of the most noble professions. Best to treat EVERYONE with kindness and respect, and not ASSUME the...
Read moreI will never shop at Heidi's Uniforms again. While I am fully aware that stores are able to make their own policies, I am also able to choose where I give my money to.
While in WS my daughter stated if she ever got a cup again she would like a BruMate Era. Yall know, I am a Bru fan through and through. BrĂźMate had just launched their special edition Cotton Candy line yesterday. Perfect for this pink loving girl that never asks for a thing in the world! I had already been checking the new Brus out and noticed the only local place to post they had them in stock was Heidiâs. We headed there!!
I have never been in Heidiâs but had lots of errands to do today so knew this had to be a quick stop. We walked in and the BruMates were right there, just inside the front door and beside the register. Awesome!!! While I asked my daughter did she want the 40oz or 30oz we were approached by an employee stating their âbag policyâ, nothing allowed in the store larger than a fanny pack and they could keep my purse behind the counter or I could return it to my car. Excuse me, I thought I was in a store to shop, with my money, that I carry in my bag; not at a concert or sporting event. I explained to the woman that I was only going right there to buy a BrĂźMate and we would be leaving, she stated it didnât matter and walked away. I told T to pick one quick because I was not taking my LV to the car. The woman came back and rudely stated âIf you have yours others are going to question not having theirs.â
I know this store has had issues with theft in the past, however not every customer is a theif and I will be dang if I am going to provide business somewhere that makes me feel as if I am one. I was 2 feet from the register, with 4 employees behind the counter and the lady standing near me watching us. They have cameras covering the ENTIRE store (you can see them on the screen behind the counter). It is fact that a theif, if in the area, will watch for women to get out of their car without a purse, knowing that most women carry some type of bag. You want me to leave my bag in the car, in the parking lot, of a store known for this bag policy, in WS? I think not. Or better yet, leave it behind the counter so one of your employees can steal from me? No thank you.
Just be aware, if you want to shop at Heidiâs, you better not bring a purse.
Or if you are brave enough, I know where there are cars full of purses you can help yourself to.
My daughter did get her BrĂźMate because I was not about to tell that child no over a stupid bag policy. I did make it very clear to the employees behind the counter, I will not be back to give them my business.
One customer lost, because I would have been back for more Brus in the future. Donât make me feel...
Read moreI have been a nurse for 20 years and have been a faithful patron of Heidi's; however, the blatant discrimination I experienced today has changed my mind of ever shopping at this establishment again. I hesitated to write this review, but silence is close to condoning, so I felt the need to share my experience. Upon arriving to Heidi's this afternoon, I was stopped at the door and advised of the new no bag/purse policy. At that time I was advised of the options to return my purse to my vehicle or check it in at the front counter, and it would be returned to me upon my departure. I was a little confused, as I was only carrying a very small "across the body" purse, but since it was the store's policy, I complied and had my daughter return my purse to the vehicle. As I was doing this, I happened to notice that two other women, were actively shopping in the store with their purses still with them. I questioned the store associate and she advised that she had not had a chance to tell the other customers, who were already shopping, about the new bag policy. However, she was able to stop me, a woman of color, and advise me of this policy as soon as I entered the premises. I did decide, of my own free will, to leave this store, as I felt discriminated against. Having my young daughter with me, I saw the look of confusion on her face and felt compelled to follow up with someone of authority at Heidi's. I spoke with one of the owners, who was apologetic; however, this behavior cannot and should not be tolerated. If the rules apply to one, then they should apply to all. Again, I have never experienced anything like this for the 20 years I have shopped at Heidi's.However, one occurrence of an incident such as this, is...
