However, over time, I've noticed some significant changes that have led me to question the quality of my visits.
Initially, the presentation and taste were excellent, with crispy skin and perfectly seasoned meat. These elements are crucial for a successful dining experience at Popeyes. Recently, however, Iāve encountered several issues:
Blood in Under cooked Chicken: Itās concerning that under cooked chicken may still contain blood, indicating an issue with proper cooking or handling.
Chicken So Dry You Could Use It to Start a Fire: This suggests that the seasoning and frying techniques have been compromised over time, leading to a less-than-pleasing eating experience.
Additionally, there seems to be general unprofessionalism in the staff's behavior and demeanor. Recently, I noticed a young employee wearing sunglasses inside while serving customers, which could imply they are not entirely focused or professional.
Flies were also flying around several tables, suggesting potential cleanliness issues that need attention.
Overall, while Popeyes has its roots in great cooking, recent experiences have led to disappointment. Itās important for the management to address these concerns and restore quality and customer satisfaction.

We walked in and waited in line, as soon as we got to the counter, the little girl taking our order just stared at my face and said NOTHING. Just waiting for me to give my order. I went ahead and said my order, my fiancƩ said his order, and she gave us our receipt and continued to have a pissy look on her face. I WISH I had her name because I would call her out right here.
We waited 15 min for our food while there were 6 people also waiting for their food in the lobby. THEN, the manager that I mentioned above that was outside the building, knocked on the window and was talking to the employees behind the counter through their headset. ??????????? HELLO???????
2 more guests walked in during this time and went to the counter, no one acknowledged them. Everyone on their phones, ignoring customers.
Finally got our food. Dear I say it, our order was wrong. FiancĆ© went to the counter to ask them to switch our tenders for the right flavor (we asked for spicy and got regular). They said āoh we aināt have noneā. My fiancĆ© replied with āwell she rang us up for spicyā they replied with āwe can make some but itāll be 15-20 mināā¦ā¦ā¦.. againā¦.. HELLO?!!???
We took the food we had and left. The food was fine, no real complaints on taste. The service was the worst Iāve experienced in a while. Extremely unwelcoming and they all look at you like you have two heads just because you showed up to pay money to eat there. Second time, order the new wings and they gave me someone elseās order and refuses to get me a new order. And third today April 21st, they sounded like they did not want to work there, I understand but you are still open and a business to the public. When we ask for a different drinks or sauces, they claim they were out of everything at 6pm.
This place is terrible. Sadly, we could have just drove off but my mother wanted chicken.
Update: (ended up calling the place early to get ahold of a manager), there was no one dining in or parked in the parking lot April 26th, 2025. We decided to get Popeyesās [me and my roommate this time], they messed up my sides; I ask for Mac n cheese but got fries but on my receipt I got charged for Mac n cheese ? So my roommate gave me his mash potatoes and took my fries. Everything was brush off and okay until we both ate the apple pies. If we want to be specific, I ate my apple pie at 1:10am at 2:38am Iām sitting in the bathroom with stomach pains. He was feeling ill but not where he had to use the bathroom.
