Should have known better - after hearing everyone say that their service had gone down hill, but I decided to take someone out for their Birthday with 8 other people. First mistake was making reservations - I asked how many people could sit at a table comfortably... I was then asked "How many in you party?"."10", I said... "Oh - table will seat 10". I made the reservation for 7pm on Saturday night. Half the party arrived at 6:45pm - I checked in with the Owner hostess and told her that half of us were here... all others arrived and we went back in to check in again at 7pm - to let her know we were ready. We were told that it would be just a little longer...well, at 7:30, we then approached the Owner hostess to inquire about how long it would be until being seated, "you are next" we were told. I then checked the floor and saw a group getting up and the staff scurrying to clean and reset the table. We then noticed that the tables actually sat 8 comfortably - not 10. Two chairs on one side were so close, they should have been a small bench - the opposite side of the table had three chairs that were in the zone for the other cooking area - ridiculous !! The next page for "party of ten" was NOT for us - but another group that was there waiting when we got there... Asked again about our table and was told that the table we were looking at was not ours - our table was still paying and we would have it in a couple minutes. We all stood outside in the cold for 20 minutes waiting to get into the lobby and wait where it was warmer. At 8pm, I approached the Owner hostess again, that totally ignored me as I was standing right in front of her, to tell her we were leaving... but instead when I spoke up to talk with her, SHE WALKED OFF... So we all did the same. A group of people that we had been standing around with outside - that had been there just as long, asked where we were going. and we told them that we were going to SUSHI THAI - not even a mile down the road.. The group said that they were there so long that they were already drunk from waiting so long in the bar and could not drive to leave. We arrived at SUSHI THAI three minutes later to find that their sanitation rating was higher than Kanned Pile O' Crap. Sushi Thai's wait staff was much more pleasant - we told them that we had trouble at Kanned Pile, and they told us that they hear that all the time...So that's my last experience with them -...

Read moreI wouldn't even give this place the 1 star if it were an option. Worst experience ever! Hibachi is about the only way my husband and I can get a peaceful dinner in with our 3 year old, because the entertainment keeps her busy. Our usual spot didn't have any open reservations for this particular night, so we thought, let's try something new. We made a 7:30 reservation for myself, my husband and our 3 year old. Reservations are key for us so our daughter can eat within a reasonable time-frame & we can walk right in to be seated. Waiting rooms with a 3 year old are a bear. We were not greeted upon arrival, so the VERY nice bartender came out from the bar to "check us in." Only she apparently didn't do it right. Keep in mind, their reservation list is a very sophisticated system of a legal pad & names with times written next to it. Well, the bartender who checked us in, only highlighted half of the line, so the owner/hostess of the restaurant supposedly didn't know we were there. 7:45 came and we still were not called, so the bartender walked up & reminded the owner/hostess we were waiting at the bar still for our 7:30 reservation. She acknowledged. By 8:00 we still had not been sat, and I watched the owner/hostess seat 3 parties that came in after us. I walked up to let her know to take us off their list & that we would not be returning. She became very rude with me, basically blaming her oversight on the bartender not checking us in correctly. I don't understand why the check-in mattered at all when the bartender reminded her we were there & waiting. We were not rude, we simply took our child & left. We will most certainly never be back & I would forewarn anyone who makes a reservation, to also have a backup plan in place....so...
