The lack of communication and urgency in passing of information from nurses to patients at the 336-277-2000 number is useless. You would think that MyChart would be faster but that is not been the case either. I have spent 3 days back and forth talking to incompetent phone center people that have no clue of what is going on and even when you explain that the doctors nurse told you to call them and have them put them on the line or any nurse there could help me they still will not do it unless you are having chest pains. The nurse calls from a phone number that is not listed in my contacts and will not come up on my phone so I can answer it, going straight to voicemail, therefore putting me back in the same predicament of having to talk to incompetent phone center people. Dr Cummings and Dr Turner have been exceptionally great with me but trying to get information and comments from the doctor via this communication system is like pulling hind teeth. I have given permission numerous times for the nurse to leave any information on my voicemail however they will not do so. This needs to be updated and corrected to make it easier and simpler for the patient to get in contact with a doctor's office. Honestly I could put a Post-It note on a duck's butt and it would get to them faster than this system. FYI all of my other doctors and locations are easy to call back and talk to and I have no issues with getting in...
Read moreI do not recommend Janel Durham, NP. She saw my mother shortly after a hospital stay (only 9 days prior) and showed a shocking lack of concern. My mother was clearly unwell — she could barely walk, was shaky, and seemed delusional. These symptoms began after being prescribed new medications in the hospital.
When we brought this up, Janel immediately dismissed the possibility that the shaking was related to the new meds. She said, "Your shaking has nothing to do with the new medications. Follow up with us in 3 months!" Then she promptly left the room.
No labs were ordered. She didn't ask if my mother had a ride home or check on her ability to care for herself. There was no concern for her safety or immediate condition. This is unacceptable.
If you are currently a patient of hers, I highly recommend requesting a different provider. The level of care my mother received was negligent and dismissive, and no one should be treated this way — especially a vulnerable patient recovering from a...
Read moreOne of their new doctors change my prescriptions went on vacation had no one taking over his patients. Started having some symptoms little tightness in my chest. I sent emails and called no one returned either one for over a week. We found out my heart was only working at 17%. I want to Novant hospital had a good outcome. I had scheduled appointments to see another cardiologist in that office. And lo and behold I'll leave a message in an email nobody gets back to me, I make a phone call she's out of the office. They sent my email back to the first cardiologist that doesn't answer emails. Guess what you never answered my email. Had a lot of shortness of breath. 6 days later cardiologist name Carmela finally gets back to me. Misleads me, and tells me there's nothing she can do but wait, cuz other treatments are not in their protocol. If you expect the doctor to give you personal treatment, treat you with respect, and show you common courtesy don't go to...
