Buying furniture during a pandemic is a terrible experience in itself. We went everywhere in our local area and I can tell you that Haverty's is hands down the best experience that we had. I honestly can't think of a single negative thing to say. We were particularly looking for a sectional for our newly renovated home. Honestly we were a little set back, solely due to the prices, until our salesman, John Minga, took the time to explain the key differences between the quality of their furniture versus other cheaper competitors. The quality of Haverty's furniture can't be matched. John was great from the start and all the way though the process. He told us that our sectional would be delivered sometime around the middle of February, which we ordered right after Christmas, and he was right on point. It delivered this past Saturday. He communicated with us every step of the way. Now to the delivery. If there is one thing that we have learned from our furniture shopping it is that the delivery can destroy everything that has gone right. We have bought furniture recently from other stores and it was a complete nightmare. But I can tell you that the delivery guys were VERY polite, on time, cared for our purchase, and were very patient with us while we were figuring out placement and adding our own felt pads. We honestly could not have asked for a better experience. The sectional is absolutely perfect in every...
Read moreGreat pieces of furniture but beware of pricing scams by the sales team. Our sales person, who I will not mention by name, seemed friendly and wonderful but quickly ended up kind of pulling one over on us. We purchased a mattress and an adjustable base which were several thousand dollars and we were told we would get 3 mattress protectors over the course of 10 years, 1 in the beginning and the others as they wear out. When they delivered our furniture, no mattress protector. When we called, our sales person was shocked and acted like she couldn’t believe we didn’t have the protectors and said she would figure this out. She looked into it and called us the next day saying “sorry if we misunderstood her but they were $130+”. Ridiculous. Especially after she consistently read us the queen size pricing for king beds, or didn’t tell us the adjustable base price — things always ended up more expensive than she originally told us. On top of that, she made a digital view of our living room with the dimensions from our MLS listing so we could see if the couch we wanted would fit, it did on the digital so we purchased it. When they delivered it, it was way off. It still fits but not close like in the digital. It’s fine because we love the couch, but I’m not sure she knew what was going on considering the multiple inconsistencies. Would recommend for their products, but their customer service is...
Read moreWe bought a Chofa as it’s called, which is a couch with a chaise. The first one had to be replaced within a few weeks because the spring attachments failed. The next one the cushions were so hard it was like sitting on the floor. Their suggestion was to take the cushions outside on sunny days and the heat would help them soften up. We didn’t do this. Fast forward to 4.5 years and now the cushions are so compressed, it’s like there is no cushion there at all. So we call and file a warranty claim since we bought the 5 year warranty that was sold to us under the presumption it covered everything, not ust accidental damage. We’ve been married 25 years and never had an accident happen to a piece of furniture that wasn’t more than a spilled drink. WASTE OF MONEY. So they offer to come look at the couch for about $100 to see if it’s the springs which have a five year, but only a year on labor. Turns out, it is the cushions, Another $195. Total now between warranty, service call, and cushions =$385!! Almost half the cost of a new couch! I WILL NEVER BY ANOTHER THING FRIM HAVERTYS AS LONG AS I LIVE! They have done nothing to try and help with this problem except ask for more money to fix...
