We used Builders Interiors for our solid surfaces and flooring in our new home and have been super-happy with the overall process. They have a huge selection and complete knowledge of their product line, so it made picking out materials and designs relatively easy. I say “relatively” because when you have that many choices, it can take a while. But, during the design process, we never felt rushed or hurried for a decision. Upon installation things went really well; especially considering they’re based on Woodinville and our new home is in Granite Falls.
As with any large project, not everything went perfectly. We had several locations on the flooring that was missing the transition strip, but availability of the product kept it from being installed at the time the rest of the flooring was put in. Rather than ask us to wait until all parts were available, they installed the majority of the flooring first. A few weeks after the flooring was put in and the transition strips were still missing, I called Builders Interiors and they were polite and direct with the reasons for the delay. While I would have liked it installed sooner, I didn’t feel like I was getting excuses: they owned the problem and were honest about the delay.
Later when one of our flooring panels cracked, getting it repaired and replaced was super-easy. We made a quick call, sent them a picture of the problem, and they had a guy out to not only replace the panel, but he also trimmed the cut-off earthquake strap that was left below the floor which caused the problem. Additionally, several years after the installation, our heated floor failed. Another call, a few pictures exchanged in email, and they helped diagnose the problem, walked me through removing the faulty control unit, and they had a replacement unit waiting for me when I showed up. No paperwork, no warranty discussions … they just took care of me.
In these reviews I keep seeing Andy’s name appearing and he was our contact with Builders Interiors. Love that guy and will absolutely work with Builders Interiors and Andy for any future interior...
Read moreIf you are reading reviews for Builders Interiors in Woodinville, I am here to save you a large amount of frustration. It has been 5 weeks since I first contacted them: still no floor and they never even made it to give an estimate. They couldn't even help me pick a laminate.
I called them 5 weeks ago to ask about doing my main stairs and possibly my entire lower floor in the same laminate I have upstairs. I spoke with Theresa. I gave her the style of the laminate and she said she would call their supplier and see if they can get it. She called me back 3 days later and left a message saying that the style must be wrong. I called back and got her secretary and left all of the details from the sticker on the box of laminate I have.
2 weeks of waiting and I hear nothing. So I decided to go in with a sample and the label from the box. Theresa was there and we talked. She remembered who I was and said "I couldn't find the style so I didn't know what to do". Seriously? I should have walked out right then. Let me help: you either a) call and tell me that or b) help me match it as best possible. But anyways, for some reason I decided to stick with it and see if they could match it. She took a copy of the style sticker, and she took the sample and said they would give it to their supplier to match it up. She even said "thanks for not giving up on us".
Here we are, 3 weeks later and NOT A PEEP. No calls, no nothing.
They do not want your business. They don't want to lift a finger for it. It's customer "service" at it's absolute worst. I did everything to give them my business and they didn't want it. It's amazing in this day in age!
This is not the only review of this type for Builders Interiors. Do your homework. There are some that say "awesome!!!! Great!!!! So nice!!!". Take the time to read the ones that put time and effort into what they wrote. That is where the accurate...
Read moreAvoid Builder's Interiors in Woodinville – Unprofessional, Dishonest, and Disrespectful
I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life with Builder's Interiors in Woodinville. What was supposed to be a straightforward job turned into a nightmare of delays, overcharges, and appalling behavior.
First off, the team consistently showed up late without notice or apology. On multiple occasions, they arrived hours behind schedule, throwing off my entire day. When they finally did show up, they were anything but professional. One worker openly swore and cussed out my daughter for opening the door on accident (they were late again and supposed to be done by the time she got home from school). They treated my home with total disrespect—tracking mud through the house and leaving debris behind without even attempting to clean up.
Worse, Andy (the owner) and his team failed to complete the job. Several key elements we discussed were either skipped entirely or sloppily half-done. Then came the final bill—filled with inflated charges for items we never agreed to. No explanation, just a demand for payment. When I raised concerns, I was met with defensiveness and zero accountability or explanation.
To top it all off, I confided in a former employee (who is a personal friend), and they warned me this isn’t unusual. According to them, the owner has a track record of cutting corners, doing shady deals behind the scenes, and even offering incentives in exchange for positive reviews. That explains why some of the glowing testimonials online are completely disconnected from the reality I experienced.
Do yourself a favor and avoid Builder's Interiors at all costs. Whether you’re a homeowner or contractor, there are far better, more honest professionals in the area who will respect your time, your home,...
