Five Below — Local services in Worth Township

I don’t know if I’d really bother returning to this location. I went in for three things and felt like I was being watched the entire time I was waiting in line at the register. I get they were closing within the hour I arrived, but hovering over customers shoulder ensuring they aren’t trying to argue with the cashier isn’t necessary. I stood there waiting for the card reader to stop displaying, “transaction cancelled.” I’m aware of how to split payments. It was unnecessary to explain that I needed to hand the cashier the cash when I literally explained to both the cashier and manager that I’m splitting the payments. I was visiting my friend that lives in the area and we visited this store. The experience went well until check out. Once at check out I slide my credit card to see that it was declined and without second guessing I slide a different credit card as a form of payment. Once I left the store I checked my online banking to see a pending charge on both of the credit cards I used. I called my credit card company to realize it was five below that declined me not the credit card company. So I then call the location I visited and they told me to wait to see if both charges go through and yes they did. Called the store again and they tell me the only way to receive my money back is to come into the store which is a huge inconvenience to me due to me not living...

As a teacher I patronize this store all the time. Today, CJ (the manager) denied my 9 year old son the right to use the restroom. He stated that they don’t have a public restroom and they haven’t had one in over a year. He instructed us to walk down the street to another store/restaurant. My daughter and I were just in this store and the manager unlocked the restroom for her. I spoke with the corporate office and they stated that this isn’t a store policy. They have restrooms for the public to use unless there is a maintenance concern. The corporate office is conducting research on this concern.
