If I could give this place a zero I would. I have been to many places and some where I don't interact with the waiter and waitress and I still give a 4 or 5. This place though..... a negative 100 is more like it. There is a reason why it's only a 3.1. I'm sure it would be less if other people took the time to rate their experience.
We had waitress Asiagia. There must have been manager free last night because this waitress loved to be on her cell phone and stand in the front where security is and laugh, slouch on the bench and lay down like its home.
I went here with my husband and we ordered the steak omelet. So we get it with half mushrooms not cooked, cheese on top isn't even melted, and most of the steak it outside the omelet. We didn't even get the sauce that's with it. We ordered pancakes and they were cold...Keep in mind the only time we saw this waitress was when she dropped the food off and then we didn't see her again. She only had one other table other than us.
She literally was chatting up with security and sitting being on her cell phone having a great old time. I get it, its night time and that's a hard shift but could you at least do your job and then relax with the staff. With coming over on occasion asking us if we need anything? At least once or twice.. or how about once? So then she comes by and not to ask us if we want anything but to give us the bill. Oh take your time she says...
My husband tells her, "we have been sitting here for 25 min and you have not come once. This isn't very good service." She looks at him annoyed and says, "Well I have other tables your not the only one.".....1 table. She had one table... Then she rolls her eyes goes in the back and talks about us. How do I know? The other waitress friend of hers looks at us from the back of the kitchen to see who we are.
Then she comes back to our table and says let me clear the plates from the table and tells us to pile and give her the plates....I just couldn't....sit there any longer. I told my husband lets go. We give her the money and then gives us back the change. She then goes to the front where security is, throws herself on the bench slouching and laughs talking about us again. How do I know? The security guard then looks up and moves around the wall to see who we are. She laughs and then looks right at us. When she sees I caught her she has no shame and laughs away.
This is the worst place and for so many reasons. My husband owns a couple of restaurants and I can't imagine having an employee like this. Lesson learned though. If a place has a 3.1 or anything under a 4 it's for a good reason. I would never recommend this place but if you want to experience what awful service is first hand by all means try it at your own risk. Hope this helps...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely horrible service last night 9/11 . The waitress was slightly okay while we ordered she lacked energy. She never came to check on us till she brought us our check when we were done eating . We got no refills what so ever. We were even extremely dissatisfied with our food . It was only 3 of us . Two ordered breakfast 1 ordered lunch . I will admite my french toast was delicious ( like always š) but everything else was HORRIBLE the burger meat was disgusting . DISGUSTING! it was hard and dry as well as the entire sandwich beginning unappealing in appearance. The chocolatechip pancakes my sister ordered were dry like they had been sitting out for a while and she felt like her bacon strips were just pure fat cooked no actual bacon . As for me i got the eggs , has browns , f.toast , and smoked sausage . I enjoyed my french toast but everything else was simply "okay" at minimum i asked for my smoked sausage to be fried crispy but it wasnt even close it tasted only boiled it wasnt fried at all. To continue with my dissatisfaction and to wrap up my bad experience was maria. The most absolutely rude cashier i have ever came across . She is absolutely disrespectful and has an horrible horrible attitude and demeanor. At the counter she rings us up tells us our total is thirty-six dollars and some change as me and my sister our talking amongst our selves to see how much in cash she was going to give me and how much i was gone pay on my card. Maria swipes my card and charges me 10 and hands me the receipt , it completely takes me by surprise because im in the middle of a conversation. I was higly upset because thats not what i asked her to do. My sister was gone give me 10 and the rest was going to go on my card . I asked her why did she do that and she said " because i asked u how much u wanted to put on the card you said 10 " i then told her " you clearly see us discussing what we were going to do i didn't tell you to ring me up yet nor swipe my card " then she tells me my new total and it was the $26 remaing . So i said swipe it again and just pay the rest because by now im upset and she tells me she cant swipe the same card twice and i attempt to explain to her i never asked her to swipe it the first time . She then tells me again my remaining total . Lucky i had some cash and just payed for it that way. I was so pissed off with her actions and her lack of acknowledgement for her actions. Between the nasty food and the horrible waitress and cashier I'll never eat at this ihop location again . THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn April13, 2022, at approximately 10:40 am, my 92 year old mother, neighbor (66 years), and I (almost 70), stopped at the IHOP restaurant, located at 4821 Cal Sag Road, Crestwood, Illinois 60418.
I am on a walker, my mother is on a cain. Initially, when we entered we were greeted by Anthony, He showed us to our table, placed menus on the table, and assistances us in placing the walker out of the way.
The problem started after Mena, the waitress, brought our drinks. She left the table, there was no silverware (it appears Anthony forgot to supply them), and we had trouble getting her attention. When she returned to the table, she went to the front desk and returned with them. Took our orders but when she return with the food but no condiments, again left right away, and we were forced to get her attention again. This time she came to the table and we requested salt, pepper, butter, and syrup. She left like to was going to get them but insist went to two other tables talked to the guest, and took orders. All of this took place while our food that was not hot originally got even colder. Another waiter passed our table but we were not able to caught him. The Manager, Anthony was passing by, so I started to tell him what was needed but insist of assisting he proceeded to attempt to scold me, telling me things that I felt were totally inappropriate, while also, constantly telling me to ābe patient, and that she only has two legs.ā She could hear what was being said, so when he looked back she was working on our request but upon returning to the table she still brought no syrup for the pancakes. I requested the manager and he said he was the manager, and there was no one else.
Yes, I am a senior, but I am a retired āProfessionalā , who was more then insulted by the way these two people conducted themselves, and that Anthony felt what he said was acceptable. Not to mention that Mena gave the impression that it was alright to stop serving a Black table, so she could attend to someone else.
Today, IHOP, did not live up to the slogan-āCome hungry. Leave happy ā. Nor did your employees adhere to your Vision and Values: Integrity, Excellence, Innovation, Accountability, Inclusion, or Trust.
I have eaten at other IHOP restaurants in and out of Illinois, but I have never had such a disgusting dining experience. The food was cold by the time we received what we requested. No apology was ever offered. I would not recommend this location to anyone, and feel that I need to report this...
