The restaurant was not busy at all. It took the waitress 20 mins to acknowledge me and my 5year old as she walked past us several times without so much as a âhello Iâll be right with youâ after she finally came over to us she flung the menus on the table and walked away without a single word. I finally ordered after 35 mins. I ordered the house omelette and a kids combo. My daughterâs food was made wrong for starters but she didnât mind and I tried cutting into the pancakes. With her first bite she spit out the pancakes, they were too chewy. My omelette was also made wrong. I waited about 20 mins trying to flag down the waitress who repeatedly walked past side eyeing us. She never checked on us. I finally had to get up and ask for the check. Keeping in mind we did not eat the food I just wanted to pay and leave. The waitress came over without a receipt and told me my total. I asked her to see the receipt please. She huffed and walked about. About 10 more mins passed as I watched her sit on her phone behind the counter. I then got up again after getting my 5 year olds jacket on. Not once did I make a scene or was rude about the whole ordeal. I paid and left. I called to talk to someone about the whole incident so they were aware and the women had laughed at me and hung up the phone. This was an over all awful experience leading to me paying $45 for food we did not eat and disrespect at this restaurant. Absolutely...
Read moreMy friend introduced me to this restaurant and our first visit was great and the cafe de olla is so good, we decided to return just because of that. Our second visit to this place seemed the same overall they have good customer service however I will NEVER come back even for the coffee, because we ordered breakfast plates and cafe de olla and when we asked for water on the side they told us they DONâT OFFER WATER. ONLY BOTTLED WATER YOU HAVE TO BUY. Are you kidding me? I brought a bottle of water from home and I was glad that I had half of it left but I felt bad to even finish it in front of my friend because we were both thirsty. The server said we could order agua frescas but by then they took my appetite and completely changed my mood and the food wasnât even good anymore. How are you not going to offer water? I couldâve even drank tap. You should put a sign on the door to warn us to bring our own water as ridiculous as that sounds. And the first time we came they didnât do that and gave us water so I donât know why the owner decided to make you pay for WATER now. Even McDonalds will give you a tiny cup of water for free, we spent just under 50 bucks there but we canât get water? The owner is going to make it so hard for the servers to give good experiences just because of this. I didnât tip even though itâs not technically their fault, I proved a point. Shame...
Read moreDelicious drinks and Iâm sure it has delicious food.
I had: Cafe de olla $4.99 this has cinnamon, anise and sugar added to coffee. It comes with a triangle of deep fried postre to dunk in it. It reminded me of having it in Mexico. I love this flavor combination.
TizanaTe - maracuya $4.99 This is like a hot aguas frescas, but not as sweet. It has actual fruit in it as well. This was good. But after having the cafe de olla, I just couldnât drink it all so I took some home. Iâm sure it will warm up nicely on the stove.
He had: Moka-chino $5.99 This comes with a triangle of waffle, tons of whip cream, and the cup rim is lathered in chocolate and wafer crumbs. I love this, it is not as sweet as most mochas, so you have a richer chocolate and coffee flavor.
Choco- malteadas $6.99 He ordered a regular chocolate milkshake, but we think they brought him a moka frappe. It was huge. It came with whip cream and a wafer. This was also delicious, but it was too big for him to finish, so he took some home.
Everything was great! The woman who served us was so sweet. She even gave us macarons to take home.
We will be back! I need to try the chilaquiles!
Hours listed on the door: 08:00-21:00 Mon - Sat. 08:00-20:00 Sun
