I've had a few bad run ins with this store but today really just sealed the deal. First off, a few months back I had placed a pick up order some time in the morning for pick-up around 4:30-5pm. I leave the house at 4:30 to go pick up my order and while on the way to the store an associate calls me to tell me that my order will be canceled because they do not have my item in stock. It seems as if they do not fulfill the orders as they get them but depending on the pick up time. Because of course you wouldn't have my item that was on sale that day by 4:30pm since they probably ran out of it earlier in the day and didn't start fulfilling my order until the very last minute...
Two, my husband went into the store earlier this week to get some laundry items that were marked down on our Kroger app. He goes to self checkout and the items ring up regular price or not the price as listed on the app when scanned. He calls an attendant over and scans the items in FRONT of her and she still does not believe him. He scans it multiple times with the Kroger app and she is still so hesitant that she pulls out her own device and scans the same items and what do you know! The price is as we had scanned it on our own app!
And then today, I went in-store to grab some laundry scent beads that were marked down and I had a $2 printable coupon. (The picture on the coupon were for laundry pods, but in the description it listed other items the coupon could be used for and the item I grabbed qualified) I go to self checkout and it calls and attendant to scan my coupons and I hand her the coupons and tell her what its for and without even reading the coupon immediately says "thats not for the correct item" and I proceed to tell her "Yes maam it is, it says so right there in the description" and so she goes to ask someone about it and apparently they tell her to try to scan it and it doesn't work. Nothing else. And then of course by that time I was peeved and told her to remove the items from my transaction. She just did not seem to care.
Overall, this store needs to do better. I'll continue to return only because this is the closest Kroger in this area and hopefully they can improve on treating their customers with a bit more respect and put more effort into resolving issues that is not the fault of...
Read moreI initially had a very positive experience my first visit last week. Employees were helpful and considerate. I bought sets of dinner plates that were on sale and took whatever they had, thinking I would come back when they had more inventory to complete my set.
I called an associate yesterday (super nice, even sent me pictures to make sure they had the items I was looking for!), and saw that the set was back in stock.
However, this time the plates/bowls were now twice the cost, so I asked customer service if they would be able to honor the price from a few days prior, since I only needed a few more items which they did not have on my initial visit. I kept my receipt for reference as well. I did not feel that this was this was something any other reasonable person wouldn’t ask for before purchasing the same item at double the price.
I went in person and spoke to the customer service associate, and explained my situation. He then called someone on the phone and told me to speak to a man named Chris B. the next day about it. I called the next day as instructed, and Chris was incredibly rude throughout the entire 30 seconds of speaking to me. I felt I spoke clearly and politely, but was met with utter confusion and downright mean demeanor at my request. “Prices change there’s nothing I can do about it”, without so much as a simple “sorry about that”. Chris could not have cared less about me as a customer or person. I’m still not entirely sure why they had me call him in the first place because he did not even try to help me.
It’s okay if the answer is no! I’ve worked in customer service, and I understand that sometimes things are out of our hands.
“I can’t honor last weeks prices” was the last thing he said. Fine, but just say it nicely? I bought $100 of your inventory, and just wanted to ask if you could help me out when you had some more available literally days later. I will definitely think twice before visiting this...
Read moreSooo... I got a story to tell. And wow, I couldn't believe it. First off, if you plan on getting flowers for a very important event like maybe a wedding...doon't make the mistake I did and go to 'whole foods' aka 'whole paycheck' aka 'whole waist of time'. Ok, so I originally bought flowers from whole wack foods. White roses to be exact, not even 8 hours later they were turning colors (yellow). Yikes! I know the bride specifically asked for White Roses, I was totally shocked when I saw them change so quickly. I didn't panic I called up to the location and they said they don't have anymore in the whole store!! I was like are you kidding? no way that gigantic store doesn't have a dozen white roses...wow, and get this, I didn't even get my money back! they said tough, so there goes $80 down the drain. I came to my senses, and placed a call to my neighborhood Krogers, and wow, I couldn't be any happier with the results, Nelly, you are an Angel sent down from Heaven to help me that day. I caught all green lights rushing up there and she had multiple white roses to choose from, and on top of that she went the extra step in helping me out. She made the bouquet by herself, and let me say, she deserves a raise. Thank you Thank you Thank you Nelly for your hard work and commitment. She could have said here you go you do it, but she saw the stress and anxiety on my face and she said...'Let me help this poor man out' LOL!! and boy did she ever. The Bride was absolutely taken back with sheer joy and happiness! It made me tear up a little. Wow, she saved the day, single handily. Nelly is a keeper at that location. I love my neighborhood Krogers, I'm so glad I did that. And the kicker was, it was half of the other boogie place. Never go to whole foods for flowers for an important event. Thank you Nelly and thank you Krogers for hiring such a wonderful person!! I will be going there for all my floral needs. I hope you...
