Pei Wei Asian Kitchen — Restaurant in Wylie

My family and I have been going to Pei Wei for many many years. But this is our first time to this location. I was actually planning to go to the opening day to meet Jet Tila. But my schedule prohibited me from doing that. But was able to come this time. As we walked in, we were greeted by the person at the counter. She let us take our time deciding what to order. Which in reality wasn’t long at all. My son wanted the teriyaki chicken and I got my favorite the orange chicken. I usually like to try something new, but I have been wanting this for a while now. My wife ordered the drunken noodles. Which is one of Jet Tila’s recipes. Everything was just delicious. If I had one complaint, it would that my wife and both had chicken that was very grisly. That was a first time that has ever happened at a Pei Wei. It was even stranger that it happened for two separate dishes. Good customer service. Lady at the register was knowledgeable with menu options. The manager on-site was well dressed and attentive. 'For here' orders are taken to your table,.. thank goodness. Food was tasteful and portions are perfect to the prize. Egg rolls are good size and stuffing quantity is spot -on to the size. Overall, good experience. Come support and have your own experience.

P.S. I do have a suggestion for the manager at this loc,.. keep fortune cookies behind the counter. The reason is because I witnessed careless parents allowing their 5 yr old take handfuls of fortune cookies multiple times. Merely a...

Update: not sure what’s going on at this location lately but it has been sub-par. Ordered the lettuce wraps and got 2 inch pieces of lettuce that I had to throw away. Not sure how to eat lettuce wraps when they don’t give you lettuce that you can actually use to wrap the food.

Love this location, the food quality is always great and the service is awesome. Staff always welcomes you and so accommodating. One minor thing is that the portion size is not always consistent. Ordered a Chicken Salad and bowl had maybe a cup of lettuce today whereas last week it was 3/4 full. Good...
