3 visits = 3 different experiences 1st time ⭐️⭐️/5 we walked in 4:15 pm and told the hostess we just want to have a cocktail and check out the place. The Design of the restaurant is beautiful, from the Entrance to the glass rooftop to expose the sky at night. The hostess said because we where dressed “ Athletic “ we can take the drink to go or sit at the downstairs bar if we are going to be quick. We had Lush Lemonade ( must try ) and Mojito ( very bitter ) left mojito 3/4 full and bartender/ waiter didn’t care, no is your drink ok ? just paid check and left. 2nd Time ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 we made a reservation for 8:30 pm for one of our birthday and this time we dressed up so we can sit upstairs . The chairs comfortable and nice atmosphere. We ordered same drinks and this time both of them 👍👍. After looking at the menu we ordered everything from appetizers to dessert . Appetizers we ordered California Roll and Crispy Calamari ( it’s fried calamari ) and they served it with no tentacles , just delicious well fried calamari. Main course ordered Sliced Filet Mignon and it was cooked to perfection and delicious. Dessert we both went with chocolate soufflé and I told waiter we where celebrating birthday so they made it special with candle and wrote happy birthday on the plate. Everything was 5 stars from beginning to end. 3rd time ⭐️/5 I couldn’t believe it was the same place and not in a good way. We walked in 8:30 pm on Thursday . We didn’t have a reservation but had such a good time the night before we decided to come back. The hostess led us to a bar table top upstairs . The waiter came and we knew what we wanted and again ordered everything from appetizers to dessert . The waiter told us no need to order dessert now because it would confuse the chef and DID NOT write down the dessert order. I guess that was a sign the night wouldn’t go as good as the previous visit. The last waiter we had was happy we knew what we wanted and ordered everything in the beginning so they can bring out the next course after we finished. The cocktails took 10 minutes The appetizers took 40 minutes The main course came out 115 minutes . The 5 tables around us that sat down after we did. Got cocktails, appetizers, main course, and dessert and check before we got our main course. After waiting for almost 2 hours for main course, I asked the waiter for the check for what we ate and wanted to leave . Instead of bringing the check , he brings our main course and says “ sorry for inconvenience “. I told him I just want to pay for cocktails and appetizers ( the food we ate )and leave and his response is “ we can wrap this up for you “. I told him after waiting for 2 hours I am no longer interested and just want to pay and leave. The Manager/Chef/Owner approached us and said we apologize for the inconvenience our system was down. I told him how is it that the tables around us all got their food even though they sat down after us yet the only order that got messed up is ours. He tried to fix the situation by sending us drinks and desserts from the house that we didn’t want, I told the waiter he can have the dessert and we left. The Manager/Chef/Owner picked up the bill ( cocktails & appetizers) wouldn’t let me pay . 50$ not worth sitting around for 2 hours watching everyone eat around you while you wait for your food. The whole experience left bad taste . To all TOURISTS you should definitely stop by and check it out .The atmosphere is great , the food is delicious and the cocktails are good 2/3 times…service is hit or miss depending on who your waiter is. BUT… make sure you 1 - make a reservation before 8 pm 2 - dine on main level ( no smoking ) 3 - dress code P.s. the homeless/beggars wait right outside at the entrance/exit and will harass you for money, some of them will grab on to you . They know it’s a high end restaurant that’s mostly visited by tourists so they camp out . I don’t know why the restaurant doesn’t do something about it . 3/3 times I visited was followed almost a block by 2 beggars asking for money.

Not worth the hype and money. Tirana is full with places much better in terms of food and service than this. I am very disappointed with the experience in Salt. It was our last evening in Tirana and we wanted to go to a nice place. Some people recommended Salt, but please do not do our mistake. 1. Food. We ordered 3 different sets of sushi. Portions were extremely small. Taste combinations not special, but it could be matter of my taste. But biggest disappointment were the small sizes. 2. Cocktails Positive: some interesting set of special cocktails that I did not hear before. Negative: 70% of a drink is huge cube of ice. I am generally ok with ice in my drink, but this is ridiculous. See the pictures. 3. Service Very-very poor. They position themselves upper class, but service is super away from that. 1st, I booked a table. When we came on time at 18:30 there was some theater with our table: either they offered strange options somewhere at the entrance, or on the bar - though almost complete place was empty. When eventually we sat on second floor, Waiters were extremely slow to come to take the order - they were all too busy chatting in a huge group next to the bar there. Once they brought food, no one came even once to ask if all is ok. When we asked to pay eventually the whole bill had mistakes - some positions more expensive than on the menu - some actually less. 4. Ambient It is actually very nice. But see point 3. It is not relaxing seeing a huge group of waiters standing in the middle of the room chatting, laughing. We are all humans, I get it, but if this chips away the service and overall dining experience - that is not ok. Also I do not know if soccer broadcast is the best choice for the place. 5. Price Overpriced for the portion sizes. Final bill has different prices than the menu. Overall - this dinner was supposed to be a highlight, but was a disappointment.

Exceptional! We discovered Salt by chance, and were blown away by the quality of the food and service alike. On par with most 1-star restaurants we’ve visited across Europe — the best we’ve tried in Tirana so far, without a doubt. The dishes we’ve sampled: sea-salt edamame, goat-cheese with caramelized onion, beef tartare, pine-nut broccoli, spicy tenderloin, grilled seabass with carrots and asparagus, and the ribeye. Everything was beyond delicious; a variety of cocktails and spirits were also thoroughly enjoyed! For me, if an ingredient I dislike (looking at you, goat cheese) is prepared in such a way that I could eat it all day…the restaurant is a winner. Service was perfect: attentive but non-intrusive, all executed to high standard. Staff were incredibly hospitable and pleasant. The venue itself matches the quality of all described above. Beautifully designed, calm ambiance, and spotless kitchens (there are two, both on display for diners). The outside area was also lovely, with a touch of Japanese flair. Personally, I’ve really loved the aesthetic of the tableware as well; each plate perfectly complemented the dishes. So pretty! Compared to other restaurants in Tirana, the prices are quite high. BUT you’re paying about $35–$50 per person for a Michelin-level experience — a bargain. All in all: impeccable attention to detail, beautiful presentation and venue, and flavors that we’ll be reminiscing about. The only thing I regret is not saving room for dessert! We’ll be recommending Salt to any and all, and returning ourselves many a time.

The decor, design, ambience, paired with the tulumesque beats and vibe well deserves 5 stars. Great date night spot and feels sleek and trendy. Presentation of food and the glassware and dinnerware everything was served in was all aesthetically pleasing.

Wonderfully curated menu, but the actual quality and taste of the food and drinks- I would sadly rate it a 2- the ingredients listed were not actually incorporated within the dish, nor accurate. For example, the “chargrilled corn with chili and cilantro” was straight up out of a can- with the corn water rising high in the bowl, no cilantro or anything resembling chili in sight but lots of bell peppers and chopped asparagus in it. Didn’t taste terrible, but not what the menu described. The roasted beet salad with candied walnuts and feta? A few measly beets (def not roasted and most certainly tasted canned and cubed) hidden under a huge bed of spinach. Candied walnuts were good but the feta was almost like a dried Parmesan powder. We finished it, and it was not disgusting, but just the quality did not match the description of the menu, price and vibe of the place. The setting and the mood really is so nice though. Beef tartare was mixed and prepared table side and I liked how it was kinda taco-style, served on shrimp chips- that I’d almost rate it a 4.

What really put me off was when I asked for an espresso martini- after one sip, I nearly spit it out. So did my friend. I went to the bartender with the waiter after both of them tried my drink; was genuinely curious as to what liquor he used, and that’s when he showed me the lemon juice. In an espresso martini. He said that’s what’s inside their signature espresso martini cocktail. The staff were all very sweet and remade my drink without the lemon juice (I am still so confused?) and were nice about it, but damn.

Service is good and staff and great, but I would eat elsewhere and come for the atmosphere. Prices are more on the upscale side, but I really don’t mind because of the overall vibe of the restaurant. As long as I find a...
