Beware of fraud! Unfortunately, several attempts were made to cheat us in this café. Incorrect amounts were added to the bill (86,000 pesos instead of the actual 38,000 pesos!), after we said so, the amount was corrected, but it was still too much! We complained about this again, so that finally the individual amounts were totalled before our eyes and the amount was corrected. We then wanted to pay this amount by credit card. We saw that the credit card was accepted, but the waiter said that it was not. We insisted and finally the waiter gave us the receipt that everything had worked out. Waited for 30 minutes after ordering and our food never arrived. I asked the server politely and with a big smile two times for our food. We had to leave the place after two servers laughed and told us if we wanted the check. All local people were served properly but us. It’s a shame! We stopped by for a quick bite while we we were in the area. Tea, coffee, and an Argentinian tortilla powered us through the rest of the afternoon.
I came back the next day for steak sandwiches, which is what everyone else seems to be getting. It is very juicy and soft, but the portion size (and cost) isn’t the best value for money. I’d go to San Telmo for better.
