We had a fantastic time at the Hotel Club Frances in October, 2022. It was a dream. We stayed for six memorable days in this beautiful facility full of charm, class, history, and elegance. There is nothing we can say about Hotel Club Frances that is not absolutely perfect. The rooms.....ahh....so comfortable and welcoming. The king-size bed makes you feel you are suspended on a cloud. Fabulous linens, an ample bathroom, wooden floors in the room, extremely quiet environment.....what more can one ask for? The staff (front desk, cleaning. food services) was absolutely superb, polite, measured, and willing to go the extra mile to please all guests. If you don't feel like getting up in the morning, they bring breakfast to your room within a few minutes of calling and at no extra charge. They wheel an elegant wooden table into your room and you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, croissants, hot chocolate, OJ, muffins, eggs made to order, and many additional options. The location is top notch! There are many interesting restaurants, museums, shopping malls, and other attractions within walking distance. In addition, should you need a taxi, they appear every 2-3 minutes on Rodriguez Pen'a and Quintana, where the hotel is located. Our flight back to the US was scheduled for evening departure and the Hotel Club Frances allowed us to stay until 4 PM at no extra charge. Plus, they don't even require a deposit! This is a classy operation managed by classy people. If you plan to visit Buenos Aires and want to stay at an elegant place, think no further: the Hotel Club Frances is a terrific choice. You will not be disappointed and will want to stay here every time you return to this beautiful and vibrant city. We are very thankful to Hotel Club Frances for making our stay in Buenos...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our stay here overall. The location is perfect to see all the main highlights of Buenos Aires. We decided to call and book directly through them instead of through a third party. If you are visiting BA from the US, make sure you read up on the exchange situation and 'blue rate' because we believe we paid far less overall for our stay than if we had booked through a third party. With that said, getting ahold of them by phone was challenging, they have 2-3 different numbers and only one seemed to work at any given time. The breakfast in the mornings was great. The only reason we're giving a 4 overall and a 3 for service was the concierge-type services. We emailed in advance about having a car pick up at the airport arranged for us. The hotel confirmed and even emailed us 24 hours in advance to confirm a number for the car driver. When we got to the airport, no one in sight. We tried to call the hotel and finally got ahold of someone. We ended up waiting for 45 minutes in the airport for the driver, we really should have just gotten a taxi. We were just exhausted and wanted it to be easier. The other mishap was the front desk arranged for us to go to a tango show, but we got there and they only reserved for one person, not two. It was easily fixed but it took a while to work out and there was a lot...
Read moreGreat boutique hotel in a fantastic location in the Recoleta area of Buenos Aires. Our room was spacious, nicely appointed, very clean, and quiet. From the hotel it is an easy walk to the beautiful Iglesia Nuestra Señora Del Pilar. Go when the market in the park is open and enjoy the many fine crafts, clothing and artwork produced by local talent. Just beyond the Iglesia is the famous Recoleta cemetery, where you can see the resting place of Eva Perón. The cemetery itself is a sight to behold. Walking through it is more like touring a small city than a cemetery. There are many striking monuments to see. The hotel is also near many fine restaurants, and there is a very nice restaurant located right in the hotel. The hotel restaurant serves lunch, dinner, and an excellent breakfast with freshly prepared dishes from the kitchen. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have the correct power adapter, and they had one for us to borrow during our stay there. The staff was also very helpful in finding local points of interest. The double-decker "Hop-On, Hop-Off" bus has a stop close to the hotel, and that was a fantastic way to see all of the sights throughout Buenos Aires. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Club Frances, and we would highly...
