Tea Connection — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

We were looking for somewhere for lunch on a Saturday late morning and came across Tea Connection via Google maps. Wow, what a find! It’s a lovely place that’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch. They are open till late at night too. There’s a great menu with lots of variety and something for everyone. I had the brunch special- fantastic selection of things and incl a beverage - great value too (£10)! They also offer beautiful homemade flavoured waters, delicious eggs, wraps, sandwiches and tarts. And don’t skip the cakes , they are spectacular. They also have a huge selection of specialty teas from all over the world. The complimentary flat-bread sticks that are served with hummus are super yummy. Service was very friendly even though they couldn’t speak much English - they tried their best and we got there. El martes 06/06/2023 , fuimos con 7 amigas a comer alrededor de las 20.30 horas.Yo pedí arroz con langostinos y verduras, otra amiga , hamburguesa de portobello, y otros platos las otras . tardaron muchisimo en traerlo, mas de 1 hora !!!. El arroz blanco de mi plato estaba "FRIO" , como recien sacado de la heladera y igual que La hamburguesa de portobello . Lo demás ( ñoquis con burrata, etc.. dijeron que estaba rico y caliente.Tardaron como 15-20 ´para calentarlo... y de nuevo "FRIO", sobre todo el arroz, mis amigas lo comprobaron.. Yo les dije al mozo que pongan el dedo .Se lo llevaron a calentar de nuevo.Otra vez tardaron, cuando ya terminaron mis amigas , nosotras dos empezamos a comer . La hamburguesa , la comió fría, salvo las papas. Mi plato estaba caliente pero: arroz sin nada de condimentos, verduras ausentes, mezclando un poco se hacía rico , pero no vale un plato de $3.990....!!!! nos regalaron una jarra de limonada de cortesía ...jajaj , nos cobraron como si nada, sin al menos un descuento o lo que fuera.. El joven mozo estaba preocupado y no sabía como disculparse...Es evidente que tampoco había un "Encargado" y tuvo que dar la cara el mozo. Pagamos $ 5.200 cada una, con Propina, ya que el error fue en la cocina y no el mozo !!! Pero nunca mas vuelvo a pisar este ni ningún "Tea Connection", aún estoy con rabia de lo mal gastado. Whoever put together this menu, loves their job. Excellent assortment of healthy well balanced and flavorful food.

I’m here a month so I will definitely come back.
