We recently had the pleasure of visiting Nativa for dinner and it was a fantastic experience! The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the owner Alejandro. His personal attention made us feel special. The décor created the perfect ambiance for enjoying great beer and delicious food. It turns out that Alejandro created most of the furniture pieces and the beautiful bar out of metal and wood.
The beer selection was absolutely fantastic. They had a wide variety of styles to choose from, including some seasonal specialties that were not to be missed. Alejandro offered us a sample flight of several different beers and each one was delicious and perfectly crafted. The brewmaster (again Alejandro) clearly knows what he is doing!
The food was equally good. I ordered a burger and it was hands down the best burger I've had on our trip. They also had some great appetizers and sides.
The staff were also fantastic. They were all friendly and knowledgeable about the beer and food, offering excellent recommendations and providing top-notch service.
Overall, I can't recommend this brew pub enough. The beer, food, decor and atmosphere were all outstanding and the staff were fantastic. If you're looking for a great place to grab a drink and a bite to eat, this is definitely the...
Read moreA very quaint establishment that I haphazardly assumed would live up to the hype only to be quite disappointed. I was greeted by a kind young man who made me feel welcomed and took my order promptly. I wish my meals were as good as the welcome but alas it was not. The calamari starter could’ve been complete had it come with its sauce which is customary but the lemon wedge provided did the trick so I’ll rate it a 9/10. The cheeseburger was my regret - I didn’t know they took the title literally. Just… cheese and two stacks of meat. No lettuce, no onion, no tomato. To each their own, I suppose, but I’m pretty sure that’s a crime. I’d rate it 2/10 also for the poor meat quality. The potatoes were great but at this point I was just eating them to get the meat...
Read moreWe first stopped at Nativa for lunch on our first day in El Calafate. We had the daily special, gnocchi with a mushroom sauce, with one of their craft beers, the Calafate IPA. Both were really good and our server, Sylvestre, was very nice and spoke good English. The restaurant accepts USD at a decent exchange rate, which was convenient. We later went back to Nativa for dinner and ordered the tomahawk steak with chimichurri seasoning. The staff suggested a nice Cabernet Sauvignon from the Mendoza region to go with the steak. Both were delicious! An amazing experience overall! Only thing that could be improved is that the restaurant could have better quality...
