One of the most popular Armenian eateries. Tasty food with unfriendly service. Not much vegetarian options. Really slow service.
THE GOOD Prices Local dishes Location Choice Soups Is Casual The soup pot's and dishes are well designed
THE BAD Slow service, often you have to wait about thirty minutes for a dish. The cashier doesn't even know if they have what you have ordered, but makes you pay anyway. Staff not motivated, maybe they don't get payed enough. It's hard to understand how and where you get what you have ordered. No English on the ticket, so you don't have know what's on the list. Just the cashier speaks a little English, when he wants. The most dishes have meat. Not many vegan/vegetarian options. No Armenian music in background. No menu for drinks. Often crowded. Internet does not work sometimes. The customer's bathroom is used by the staff for cleaning.
BOTTOM LINE Even though the service is terrible and it's hard for the first time---for a non Armenian speaker---to understand how to get the food you have paid, it's one of the best value for money places I have found in Yerevan. If they would improve a bit the service and have some more vegetarian options, I would definitely...

Until 2 years ago the lamb khorovats was one of the best I ever had at this place. 3 days ago I had one of the worst kebabs of my life: waiter was sweating all over my food (use a towel! clean your face!) staff at the till are grumpy, unfriendly, sulking and rude: really gives a good feeling to return here! NOT. lamb khorovats (most expensive on the menu) was far too salty (I drank 2 bottles of water straight afterwards to soak up the salty taste); the portion was less than half compared to 2 summers ago; the meat was old chewy; the meat was overcooked and tasteless. TERRIBLE. Complete waste of my time and money. It looked and tasted like microwave meat. I regret even stepping foot in this place. Never again. If I could give this place half a star...

The first time we went to the Artashi Mot closer to the GUM market: everything was great; friendly service, good food, great value for money.
The second time we went to the Artashi Mot in the centre, near Freedom Square. The staff was really unfriendly, rude and did not bother communicate with us. He replied 'i do not understand' multiple times, without trying to even understand what we were trying to say or gesticulate. We asked for a different person to help us, he did not bother ask any of his colleagues. He was so rude and disinterested in serving us...
