LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Gets my highest recommendations with flying colors. The sushi was fresh and delectable. The menu is everything you'd expect from a sushi restaurant. We ordered sushi rolls, miso soup, seaweed salad, green tea and a couple of beers. The service was stellar - attentive, friendly and professional. The owners watch over everything and leave nothing to chance; they really make the place! Amazing pride of ownership and a warm and bright welcome to customers like this place offers should be the example all other restaurants follow. You're not going to find an equal to this in all of Yerevan (I'm a sushi nut; I've been to all of them). The others charge more, a lot more, and the service is so-so. Kino has a 24-piece menu item that's priced to be 3-for-2, pay for two rolls and get three. I ate until I couldn't take another bite. I was originally going to order sashimi and a few nigiri nuggets but was way too full so that will have to wait for another visit. The ginger, wasabi and seaweed salad are made in the kitchen and they're fabulous. The miso soup is made in the traditional style and I've never had such good miso; it's the genuine real deal. I'm so happy I found this place; less than a 5-minute walk from Republic Square so it's super easy to get to. I've become a fan of this place and its owners and Kino really does deserve all the praise it gets. If I could hug a restaurant, I'd wrap my arms around this one and not let go. I will come here every time I visit Yerevan. Thanks for such an awesome evening and...
Read moreLiving in Italy I know that Philippines people are very good at cooking so when I read in reviews that this restaurant is being run by Philippines family I had to try. And it was the best choice indeed! They had best ramen I ever tried outside of Japan!!! We had pork ramen and the broth was absolutely delicious. Soba with pork was very good as well, a little salty for my taste. Portions are big. We ordered sushi as well, they were fresh and tasty. Stuff was very polite and friendly, I will definitely...
Read moreThe rolls were mediocre at best and took forever to prepare even though we were the only people there. They even managed to serve two near-identical rolls fifteen minutes apart. The guy who took our orders was polite throughout but it's just not enough to warrant a restaurant's existence. I don't even want to speculate on the nature of all the good/excellent reviews, maybe something horrible happened to this place after they were written, but what does it matter? Avoid...
