Terrible service!!!!!
We came here because of the recommendations for excellent service. These reviews must have been written by the owner and his family!!!... NOTHING like this... terrible service. All the waiters and hosts were in a terrible mood, very rude. We stayed because we were craving pork ribs and beer soup.
1- When we were ordering the menu, they practically threw it on the table. My wife and I each ordered one soup and some ribs, and THEY BROUGHT US BOTH PLATES AT THE SAME TIME!!!!... Where do I start?????... We asked if they could have a plate in the kitchen so they wouldn't get cold, and they told us NO (it's hilarious), so with one hand on one plate and the other hand on the other plate!!
2- They were charging us for things we hadn't ordered. The waiter wanted us to pay NOW because he knew he was overcharging.
3- The waiter DID NOT BRING deodorant!!! We didn't know whether to call him or not at all!!!
4- I had to ask for the check several times because they ignored me.
5- While checking the check, the waiter kept insisting that it was too late. It's illogical to pressure you like that. If you like being treated badly, this is the place to be. I would never go back to this place and I wouldn't recommend it, even though the food is good.
Once we ordered, the service was very slow. There weren't many people there, and we had to wait a long time.
We were left wanting dessert, but after that kind of treatment, we went somewhere more pleasant.
Paulaner Beerhouse is not recommended just because of the...
Read moreThere are better places to drink beer in Yerevan than Paulaner. I like Paulaner beer and I always have. Ever since I lived in Germany long ago, I have been a fan. There are two Paulaner locations in Yerevan that I am aware of. One on Teryan and one on Cascade. The one on Cascade is abysmal. The one on Teryan is better, at least in terms of service. First of all, food is inconsistent. Sometimes it is good, sometimes not so good, but believe you me, the prices are always pretty high for Yerevan, regardless of what you are served. Second, and this is a pet peeve of mine, reservations. Just about anytime of the day you go to Paulaner on Cascade, you cannot have a precious outside seat because all of these tables are reserved. The staff will then more or less rudely shunt you inside the building and you'll have to sit at the bar because all the tables inside are also reserved. And when you leave after a couple of beers, every table almost without exception will still be sitting there empty but reserved. It is insane. For a better experience, I would suggest the Beer Academy, which also has two locations, one of which is very close to Paulaner. One last jab: Why in God's holy name did you guys give up your second location on Cascade where the Black Cat is now located. That was a much, much better location. If you go to Paulaner on the other side of Cascade, you will die of sunstroke in the awful summer heat. My advice is just skip the place all together. There are better and...
Read moreAll the tables outside on the terrace were “Reserved” so we were forced to sit inside, although there were several free tables. We wanted to sit by the window but were told that it is also “Reserved”. The cheeseburger bun was soggy. The waiter’s response was it is from the sauce. We asked for mayo and mustard. After three attempts they brought us mayo and Russian mustard which tasted like “a mixture of Dijon and Wasabe”. We asked for the bill. The credit card machine didn’t work. Second machine didn’t work. Different cards, several attempts and finally it worked. I use my cards every day at different locations and never have an issue. The Manager was rude and arrogant. She kept saying the problem is with my card. No...
